EUCALYPTUS DEGLUPTA - 2 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!
Hello! We are celebrating the second anniversary of the planting of the Eucalyptus Deglupta tree at the Hawaii Tropical Bioreserve and Gardens.
This is a collaboration with our Painted Trees of Hawaii CEO, Kelly Dunn and the Hawaii Tropical Bioreserve and Gardens.
In the two years since the baby tree was planted, the tree has grown to nearly twenty feet tall, as you shall soon see!
Kelly Dunn has spent over thirty years promoting and planting these beautiful trees on the island of Hawaii.
Once the small seed had grown to nearly twelve inches tall it was time to deliver the baby tree.
These are photographs from the first day that Kelly Dunn brought the baby tree to the rainforest.
There was a planting ceremony and everyone was excited upon its arrival.
This is the first Eucalyptus Deglupta tree in the rainforest gardens.
It was determined that the tree would be planted just inside the entrance to the walking trails.
In two or three years the colors on the bark will begin to appear.
Soon, the Eucalyptus Tree will showcase all her beautiful colors for the world to see.
And now, we are going to drive down into the Onomea Valley to the rainforest.
Just sit back and enjoy the ride.
Soon we'll see how much the Eucalyptus Deglupta tree has grown in two years!
