- Hey Guys, This is Akhil Nema and you are Watching our TH-cam channel Advanced Basics by Akhil.
In this Lecture of series Civil Engineering interview Questions, I am going to explain one of the most important topic of civil Engineering from the interview point of view that is Difference between Working Stress Method and Limit State method. In this Lecture I will discuss about Working Stress Method, Ultimate Load Method and Limit State Method one by one.......I hope you will enjoy the video.

Sir you Explain in very simple language.
I wish every civil engineer student must watch this video to understand design philosophy.
You are going to be a very successful teacher in few years my wishes are with you.
Thanks Mayur, these types of comments motivate me, thanks & God bless you, stay connected.
Op sir ❤️❤️🩹❤️❤️❤️❤️🩹👁️❤️❤️🩹❤️❤️🩹❤️❤️🩹
Excellent one

The ease with which he explained the concept is highly appreciable ...
Just listen carefully and you get everything he said
5 🌟 to the video
Thanks & stay connected
Best explanation
Best hai sir
Thank you sir
I saw many things for wsm lsm ulm explaination but got cleared only with this video. Very nicely explained .
You keep making videos like this. Is very useful for us.🙏🙏
Thanks Pankaj
Sachin here sir Oriental good to see u
Hello Sachin, how are you?
Bhot acche se smjawa diya sir apne.. thanks🙌🙌🙏
after watching so many Vedios on WSM and LSM, finally got my concept clear from this vedio. Thanks a lott!!!
Keep uploading 👍👍
Thanks & stay connected
Sir , topic is old but concept is new .
Wow sir you told a basic information. Thank you sir
Thanks
Myself Structural Engg with 13Years Exp.
I just watched this video even when i know all concepts. Initial it looked boring but i am writing this comment after almost 2weeks from watching only once
I must say this video is very insightful and easy to learn and remember just watching once. Wonderful Job Mr Akhil.
Hoping to see similar simple videos for easy grasping and retention on Advanced topics like Modal Analysis, Eigen/Ritz methods and difference between them where to use them and where not.
Hope the magic should work.
Thank you very much Sir, these type of comments inspire me to help more and more people, thanks sir and stay connected.
Sir ye cheej ache acho civil engineer ko bhi nhi pata hai . This is very good explanation
Thanks Pankaj
👌🤟 nyc vdo sir
Thanks ash tiwari
Lots of thanks sir pls more videos are require, this is one of the best channel to clear the basic ...
Thanks Shahrukh
Referring the concept of A=load/stress, you made the learning simple.
Excellent!
❤️
Usefull video thanks
Thanku sir u made my concept very clear.
Thanks Jagriti
Thq sir👍
Very good explanation
Thanks
very nice explanation
Thanks
Thank you

Thank You Very Very much Sir, Your comment on my Video, it is Pleasure for me Sir, Thank You very much Sir 🙏
sir mera doubt hai ki aapne wsm mai ye bola ki yield stress ko ham material ka strength manke chelenge, lekin wsm mai upto elastic limit ki consider karna chaiye na, ham LSM mai yield stress ko lena chaiye aur wsm mai elastic limit ko stress lena chaiye, am i right or wrong please reply sir ?
nice one, just one thing saftey factor for concrete is 2.25 in LSM in my view..
No it is 1.5 for Concrete & 1.15 for steel according to IS:456:2000
Tqq sir
Thanks Bikram
Should give the reference for partial safety factors (1.5DL, 2.2 LL) mentioned as also said EQ and Wind are neglected. Codal reference to be added.
Why does increasing the Area make the Structure safe ...?
Design me hmara aim jyada se jyada area to nhi rakhte. Ham chahte hain kam kharch me jyada strength de. Iske liye to area kam karna cahahiye.
Jaise ham doubly reinforced me karte hain area same rakhte huye strength bdana.
Mujhe ye area se samjhana pach nhi rha. Kindly elaborate .
love you bro (y) thanks
Thanks
Sir app Plastic theory sa 2 pe video banaiye sir Ji OIST civil 3rd year sir
Ok Thank you Ajay, I will do definitely
sir LSM WSM ULM kause kis kis components ke liye hota h
Aajkal ulm ka use to ho nhi rha designing me, wsm se bade structures design ho rhe h kisi place par for example Dams & bridges baki sari place par lsm hi use kar rhe hain.
does partial safety factor applied to ultimate stress
Why does increasing the area make the structure safe?
Since if area will be more stress on the structure will be less as they are indirectly proportional, thus chances of failure of structure will be less. Moreover a structure fails if the load applied on the structure is greater than permissible load. Thus keeping area large reduces the applied stress on the structure, keeping it safe.
@@libangmize364 thanks for the explanation. I get it now
