Mae West- Right before this album came out,Jimmy and Cathy stepped in for me when I had to get my tonsils and adenoids removed-I was off for almost 4 months. I was the lead singer and bass player for SUPERBAND WHAM! (the Original and AMERICAN Wham!)--We did some shows together when I came back and did some recording with them also--Loved these two and they were so talented! I'm sorry to hear that Cathy isn't singing anymore..But I stopped for a long time and am rehearsing so I can go out and do some performing again soon. I'm glad Jimmy is still out there with a revamped JAGGERZ!===Mitch.
I have been gone from the 'Burgh for 25 years, but I still remember this song. I've been searching for this for 20 years! I don't know what ever happened to my copy of this album. Gone with the years guess. Any time I heard "Gonna Take a Miracle" without the medley I was sadly disappointed. THANKS for posting this!!!
Awe...Memory lane....I remember going to the Holiday Inn in Beaverfalls pa and they would be preforming there . they were so great...early 80's...when I was young..lol
Even after all these years, how I miss their voices blending! Glad Jimmie is still wailing with The Jaggerz, but it's a crime that Cathy is no longer singing. Gorgeous!
Mae West ---I've been out of the area for awhile and Jimmy and Cathy took my place in Wham! when I had my throat surgery..This was back in the early 80's...Why isn't Cathy singing now? We did some recordings and she was such a Great singer/a pleasure to sing with. I'm singing again after a decade of not performing at all-I know Jimmy has the Jaggerz now...I'd love to get in touch with Cathy again..I'm on FB. Mitch.
@@mitchvuksanovich -- Cathy & Jimmie moved to Florida for awhile, booking acts. When they came back to PA, after a time they split. Cathy stopped singing (a tragedy for the world) but Jimmie continues singing (thank God!) Just saw him at the Shriner Auditorium Sunday Oct 8, 2023 where he sang solo, & also with Donna Groom (great singer too & they did 'Outside Looking In...Gonna Take a Miracle') & Chris Ruggiero. Jimmie sounds better than ever! Though they no longer keep in touch, we keep in touch with both of them.
These two songs were cowritten by Teddy Randazzo, who produced the original sixties recordings by Little Anthony & the Imperials and the Royalettes. He also produced this track on the "Bottom Line" lp. Here Cathy Cooper is teamed up with Jimmie Ross of the Jaggerz.
Damn! I really miss them singing together ! A great trip down memory lane with 2 of the best voices in the business.......

I guess that Smokey was satisfied with version.
I think Hold On should've been the single. This isn't as good.
