El to Canaanites was Supreme God.
Elohim is a plural word. Meaning Gods or mighty ones. It can still mean singular. Like with the word "Mom". It is singular to whoever uses it, but the word "mom" can refer to any number of people.
If that's all right then my questions are;
1) Does Yahweh also exist in the Canaanite pantheon and what is his relationship to El?
2) Is El Elyon a separate Elohim from Yahweh?

There is only one God. Yahweh was the name Moses was given in Exodus and Yahweh means “I am what I am and what I will be”. Elohim in Jewish doesn’t even mean God, but “spiritual beings”. Elohim can be used to describe angels, heavenly warriors, and even God, God is the greatest Elohim because he is the highest spiritual being. Elohim does not mean “deities”. El or El Shaddai is another for deity or God in Hebrew and Phoenician. In other words, Yahweh and El Shaddai are the same, but Elohim is describing the angels and spiritual beings in Heaven. To be honest I think that it takes more from the Mesopotamian tales than anything considering the stories line up very well, and even have the same individuals, just different names because of language differences.
