Just came back from Paris and the 6 day Museum Pass was perfect: Louvre, Musee Rodin, the Arc, D'orsay, L'orangerie, Pompidou, Versailles, Sainte Chapelle all at a great pace with seeing the city itself
There is an elevator in the Arc du Triomphe. My son had injured his knee when we were in Paris several year ago. He could not do the stairs. So I found one of the attendants and ask very politely in French ( probably poor French being an American) explaining he was injured. She was lovely, no problem. Took us to the very old and well hidden elevator. Only big enough for two. I said my daughter and I could take the stairs, but she said no, of course you all use the elevator. The French are the loveliest , kindest people , they just require good manners and the attempt to speak French. Secret elevator😉
Joséphine Baker became a french citizen in 1937, was a civil allies intelligence agent at the beginning of WW2, then joined the free french airforce in north africa as a military intelligence officer, and participated in Europes liberation on the mediterranean side. She was a french war heroes and that's why she is burried in the Panthéon.
Very ambitious to do 8 museums in two days!! You have more stamina than we do. We opted for the 4 day pass when we visited Paris the first time and it was wonderful. We were able to space out the museum visits so that we didn't feel overwhelmed. It was worth every penny!! Your reaction to the green painting was priceless! Thanks for all you do. 💕
My wife and I visited cloudy and wet Paris this last week for the very first time. Our main inspiration for taking the trip was your excellent videos over the last year. In fact, I think we ran into Antoine’s brother at the Museé Cluny; he was the only French person that started a conversation with us! Well, if it was him, I forgot to mention how accessible you two have made Paris for us, merci beaucoup!
awww! I am awestruck that you got the chance to meet them! truly!! I have been watching their videos for well over a month now and planning my own trip to Paris! definitely subscribed!
I was drinking something when you showed the “green” painting and all my drink spluttered out! You look and both sound so funny! Love your channel! Very helpful! Can I invite you two for dinner when I visit Paris this year? Your choice of restaurant, will PM once confirmed ❤
Just came back from France and saw you guys filming at Mont St. Michel! You looked fabulous! Thank you for all of your helpful videos...they made our trip SO much easier!
Coleen!!!! I told my husband when we go to Paris in Sept, he cannot say "Aw haw haw" with a fakey French accent!!!!! Then.... he hears you say it and all my husband training goes out the window!!!!!!😂😂😂😂😂
Nice video and I agree that these passes can be cost effective and convenient. We used one 5 years ago and saw a lot of these main sights. The only regret is that we didn’t make enough time for shopping, cafes and just exploring. We spent too much time going from sight to sight. My advice is to consider using the pass but plan accordingly so that you go to places near each other and make time to see the city and enjoy just being there. 🇫🇷 🍷
"When you thought there were no more stairs..." LOL. Truer words have never been said. The view from the top of the Arc though... completely worth it. We did the Arc during the day and Tour Eiffel at night. I think that gave us the day/night views we wanted to see. Museum Pass is such great value. We had a 4-Day pass and we hit a lot of places. Of course, we spent quite a bit of time in Versailles and the Louvre, and half a day at Musee d'Orsay (my wife's favourite), but because the other places are a lot smaller it was easy to see a lot of them with proper planning.
This is such a good video. We bought a Paris Pass in 2016. It included travel on the Metro & lots of attractions. I think it was €65 then. We thought it was well worth it.
Love your videos, and maybe I’ll see you in a few weeks! Please let viewers know that almost all of the sites where the Paris Pass is accepted, admit those under 18 for FREE. It makes the pass an even better value for families when only the adults need admission.

a) Possibly worth mentioning: I believe the Centre Pompidou is scheduled to close for possibly lengthy renovations later this year, so see it while you can! b) Interesting note about those unicorn tapestries in the Musée Cluny: five of them represent each of the five senses (the lady listens to music, tastes fruit, etc.), while in the sixth, she is either taking jewelry out of a box or putting it back in. The label on the sixth, “À Mon Seul Désir,” would most naturally be translated as “to my sole desire,” but it could also be read as something like “solely at my desire,” i.e., “only when I wish.” In that case she’d be seen as putting the jewelry back in the box, and the sixth picture would thus represent our free will’s mastery over our sensory impulses (as represented by the other five).
We took the 4 day Paris pass, wich includes the Paris museum pass and it worked really well for us, we did the Louvre, Versailles, Sainte Chapelle, D'Orsay, Arc, Eiffel Tower guided tour, Pantheon, Les Invalides, also the macarons at Montmartre, a parisian breakfast and a crepe (all of them included in the Paris Pass), tne hop on hop off bus, the Siene tour, the workshop at Fragonard museum, and a walking tour in St Germain de Pres. It was worth it, and the 4 days pass is perfect 😊
Info : The white wall you can see at 7:14 (in the Musée de Cluny, which is the Middle Age Museum) is what's left of Roman baths (not the big wide stones on the right, but the small square ones in the back, behind the heads, and on the left).
Awesome work guys!! There's so much to see in our beautiful city!! the Pass seems an amazing tool to make the most out of it :). Thank you for this super helpful video :D
oh wow! : D I have been watching every single video and taking notes for my first visit!! I'm planning on seeing Paris and Normandy soon. Your guides are so helpful and educational, please keep up the wonderful work!! Thank you Les Frenchies!! if anyone ever asks for a Paris tour guide, I will definitely share your youtube channel !
You are both so cool and your tips and pointers are tremendously helpful. Keep up the good work. You have taught me so much and helped save me so much money. ❤
What a fabulous challenge, you achieved a lot in these 48 hours! One of my personal favourites museum is Rodin museum - it’s small and not overcrowded and overwhelming, with beautiful garden. 😊 Thank you guys! ❤
Love your videos! I'm heading to Paris in August and can't wait to experience it all! Would love it if you could make a video on the vintage shopping in Paris
YES! YES! The Paris Museum Pass is THE BEST! There are a couple spots you need to get a time stamped ticket or wait in line (to go up inside the Arc), but it is SO worth it to NOT wait in massive lines. I just spoke with someone who had been in Paris and they waited 2 hours in line just to get tickets to visit the Louvre. Then waited again to get in. If you had very limited time in Paris and spent so much time waiting in lines just to purchase tickets to get into these places, you would barely see anything. The pass is amazing because it lets you bypass the line in so many places. Or even visit a museum on a whim! I can't say enough how great it is you did a video on this. Also, Saint Chapelle? The king had recently acquired a relic which was supposedly the real crown of thorns and had the chapel built to house it. Pretty incredible storage facility...
My sister and I had 12 days in Paris last April, and we got the 6 day pass, which was wonderful. However, you showed some places we missed, so we may have to go back!!
I hope to take a tour of Paris museums next spring and this is fantastic. When you say "time stamped" ticket, do you mean you made reservations for each of these places beforehand? Thanks for all your wonderful videos
Very good illustration of the usefulness of Paris museum pass , kudos to your efforts and take care all 🎉, it’s gives a perfect idea to decide , till now I was wondering about yes or no to Paris museum pass , I am glad you had a video about this 🙌
Another great video. Seeing you at Au Pied du Fouet brought back a fun memory. On a visit in 2019, I was walking from my hotel near Musée Cluny to the Musée Rodin. Before getting to my destination, I wanted to stop for lunch and happened upon the very busy little restaurant with the bright red front. I was shown to a seat at the communal table just below the partitioned box that held the serviettes of the regular patrons. Had a nice conversation - en français - with a teacher from a nearby school. Then on to the house of Rodin, which I had first (and last) visited in 1971. After the museum I found myself near the hotel where I had spent my very first night in Paris almost exactly 50 years earlier in 1969 before finding a position as an au pair. Thanks for the memories.
Bravo 🎉loved this video... as a lover of art, this is a video I will play over and over... the musee d'orsay I favorite ... saw the bench I perched on years ago! Impressionists are my ❤ it was thrilling to stand in front of each painting and see the brushstrokes techniques ... a true soul memory! Monet one of favorites... loved your Giverney video, too. Again merci❤
Hey Coleen! Thanks for the fantastic video of two of our favourite places from our trip last October. Mont St Michel was an absolute dream come true and we LOVED Honfleur (we spent our 30 th anniversary there). Do you remember when I posted the photo of my two moms dressed up as you on Halloween? Well they sure would love a scarf to top it off!!! We hope to come back to France, but in the meantime we have yours and Antoine’s adventures to keep us happy ❤thank you for sharing your love of France!
We just found your channel and love it. Gonna visit Paris next week from November 21 till the 23rd. We definitely going to The Pantheon, Conciergerie and Hotel Des Invalides. We subbed and you have 2 new followers from The Netherlands 😊
Great video! Did you schedule any timed admissions to any of the museums/attractions? If not, what was your longest wait in line? See you soon Paris! ❤️🥐
Only conciergerie and saint chapelle required timed entry ticket. The only place we had to wait was at Saint Chapelle, the rest was no wait....and we're in off season 😉
All my favorites! Only one I didn't make was the Cluny. 6-Day Museum Pass was the bargain of the decade. If I remember correctly, in six days I hit something like 14 museums and other sites, including Versailles. One word of caution: the twisting stairs at Sainte Chappell are narrow, shallow, vertical and a little claustrophobic...but oh so worth the climb. I spent 45 minutes there with my jaw on the floor. Just gorgeous.
Great video! There are so many reasons to go back to Paris!!! I hope there are many trips in my future. ❤ Thank you for pouring so much info and passion into your channel.
Great Job. You're living my dream. Bought the Paris Pass many times and it's invaluable. Just do your homework. Hours, days closed, nights open; what's close to the next. Beware of strikes, they are noticed though. With a bit of strategy you can see a ton without burning out. One favorite memory is when the driver of the hop-on hop-off bus pulled over at the Place du Trocadéro stop, got out and walked away without any notice...must have been break time. No one came to releive him😅 so, I ventured out. Just riding the loop without getting off gives you a great sense of where everything is and the view is unparalleled. Oh and find the free days and free museums, like Petit Palis and first (Sunday i think) of the month. You can really maximize your savings. ❤ keep 'em coming. Monsuir, one minute you sound American, the next French, at one point Italian...in the flow, love it 😊, You're both adorable.
I’m in the process of planning a trip to Paris, and this information has been extremely helpful… thanks for sharing your knowledge and showing us how wonderful traveling can be. One last thing, do you have any recommendations on the best time of the year to visit.
Hmm. When you were in the Pantheon, standing at Joséphine Baker's place you made it seem as though she was American. She was born in the U.S. After marrying a Frenchman (not sure of that date, but it was before WWII), she became a French citizen. She then became a French Resistance agent during the war and was in the military. She is in the Pantheon as an outstanding French woman.
Hi there. We are going in May. I wonder if you could reserve a timed entry at popular sites the the Arc de Triomphe and Musee D'ORSAY with the museum pass. Would you wait long without booking a time? It would be great if you could share your experience with the m pass. Thank you. Enjoy your time in Paris!
I visited Paris with my teenage children last summer. I missed several iconic places, but that’s a good excuse to be back later. I stayed in Le Rancy, and feel that I should have explored more of this suburb. I hope to see one day one video about it. Blessings.
One of my favorite things to do in Paris is Paris Walks. They have different themed walks like French Revolution, Paris during the Occupation, Latin Quarter, Île de la Cité and more! You meet the guide at the metro stop, pay the guide, and visit all sorts of sites.
I was there some years ago, used the pass, and didn't have to stand in the long line to get in. Saved a lot of time, and we loved the museums. I always feel guilty for eating while someone is singing.
I just have few suggestions here:- Skip Saint Chappel and Concerige. Go to Hotel de la Marine and Orangerie/Rodin museum instead. They are better options.
I would do the 4 day for $77 instead of the 2 day for $62 . Trying to fit all that culture in just 2 days would not be enjoyable. Perhaps the 6 day pass for $92 Euros if we were visiting for a week or so.
Just a note Most of the museums of the city of Paris (liberation, petit Palais, Palais de Tokyo, zadkine, musee de la vie romantique, maybe nissim de camondo?, cernuschi) are free. Would love to see an overview if you both are up for it?
There is an elevator at l’arc de triomphe although very small and I think it’s only for the handicapped. We loved our visit in Paris 10 yrs ago. Would love to go back one day. We also got a museum pass and used it also for bathroom facilities when we needed it restaurants don’t like u to use their facilities unless u r a patron. I wonder why y’all never mention le cemetiere père Lachaise. Saw my ancestors crypt when we were there. Edith Piaf left a legacy and she is buried there also. Thank you for sharing all your trips with us. I drool at every one of them. Merci
The Pompidou is closing in late 2024 for I think, 5 years. I saw one of the best exhibits I ever saw there in 2022, a special exhibit on German Objectivism. Some of these special exhibits are so well done. Enjoy it while you can before it closes.
@@LesFrenchiesTravelA pity they can’t keep some kind of on-going presence in temporary space like some of the NYC museums do when undergoing big renovations. A really long time to be out of the loop.
Musee D'Orsay was my favourite last time we were there, and I would love to return. This video of yours is fabulous. I want to visit the Opera Restaurant, which is amazing. Thank you for showing us.
We had 4 day museum pass, when we were there mid March. We were also very lucky to have Sunny days😊😊😊. Make sure to make reservations on the popular ones.
i've climbed those many steps of the arc de triomphe, but last time i went with my 70+ year old mom and they let us take the elevator. though she's plenty strong and able to take the stairs, we appreciated the easy ride :)
I love Musee d'Orsay. It's a train station from the Belle Epoque built in the Art Nuveau style. All the art in there is from the Belle Epoque. even though it doesn't look big from the outside, it's pretty big. Tons of things to see.
These videos are sooooo helpful! Thank yooou!!! I just found out our last night in Paris will be Bastille Day. Any tips or tricks to help that evening be a fun time and not a crowded nightmare?
Ech little municipality with have their own celebrating (and often their own fireworks). Check with your hotel for what's going on by where you are staying. The big celebration will be along the Champs Elysses.
@@LesFrenchiesTravel Oh wonderful!! Thank you for the advice, because I was not looking forward to navigating huge crowds. A smaller neighborhood celebration would be wonderful.
So interesting to see many museums I’ve not visited yet. I am so inspired to visit Paris again because of your videos and explore some of the places you have featured. But I was shocked to see how the hotel prices have escalated in price, even for months after the Olympics are over. It’s discouraging. But thank you for taking us along with you!

@@LesFrenchiesTravel It goes from the ground to the main exhibition room but not up to the terrasse, you've got to take that second set of stairs.

We don't like the marathon travel style. We did that because the average stay in Paris for American travelers is 3 days!
I loved Musee D'Orsay when I was in Paris, possibly my favorite Paris Museum.

a) Possibly worth mentioning: I believe the Centre Pompidou is scheduled to close for possibly lengthy renovations later this year, so see it while you can!

Oh and find the free days and free museums, like Petit Palis and first (Sunday i think) of the month. You can really maximize your savings. ❤ keep 'em coming. Monsuir, one minute you sound American, the next French, at one point Italian...in the flow, love it 😊, You're both adorable.
Great advice. Thanks.
I’m in the process of planning a trip to Paris, and this information has been extremely helpful… thanks for sharing your knowledge and showing us how wonderful traveling can be. One last thing, do you have any recommendations on the best time of the year to visit.
I'll say it again, youtwo are the cutest couple ever. Great video
Love the Cluny! Thank you for all the inspiration
It was lovely
I got this pass and will be in Paris in 2 weeks.. this was a great and timely guide.
Bon voyage!
Did you notice your price recap of the meal you ate at au pied de fouet listed wild board not wild boar? Gave me a chuckle.
lol...stupid spell check 😅
Thanks for the recommendations
I visited Paris with my teenage children last summer. I missed several iconic places, but that’s a good excuse to be back later. I stayed in Le Rancy, and feel that I should have explored more of this suburb. I hope to see one day one video about it. Blessings.
Great idea
Amazing, thank you for posting. For the Pompidou. do I need a museum pass to go out in the terrace to see the city? Thank you 🙏🇺🇸
One of my favorite things to do in Paris is Paris Walks. They have different themed walks like French Revolution, Paris during the Occupation, Latin Quarter, Île de la Cité and more! You meet the guide at the metro stop, pay the guide, and visit all sorts of sites.
Reasonable priced too! 🙂 They're a nice group
I was there some years ago, used the pass, and didn't have to stand in the long line to get in. Saved a lot of time, and we loved the museums. I always feel guilty for eating while someone is singing.
Lol... the singers live it
I just have few suggestions here:-
Skip Saint Chappel and Concerige.
Good showing and I am really interesting in these places so much, friend. Thanks for your sharing💖🌹❤️
Just a note
Most of the museums of the city of Paris (liberation, petit Palais, Palais de Tokyo, zadkine, musee de la vie romantique, maybe nissim de camondo?, cernuschi) are free.
Merci
Great content! But for Saint Chapelle and Concergerie that require a timed entry ticket, how do you do that with Paris Museum Pass?
When you buy the pass, you get to select the day & time for each visit that requires a timed entry
@14:29 Les Invalides is not a napoleonian hospital, its much older and was erected by king Louis XIV as an hospital for his injured veteran soldiers
The Pompidou is closing in late 2024 for I think, 5 years. I saw one of the best exhibits I ever saw there in 2022, a special exhibit on German Objectivism. Some of these special exhibits are so well done. Enjoy it while you can before it closes.
it's closing in 2025 for 5 to 7 years for complete overall remodeling
@@LesFrenchiesTravelA pity they can’t keep some kind of on-going presence in temporary space like some of the NYC museums do when undergoing big renovations. A really long time to be out of the loop.
Musee D'Orsay was my favourite last time we were there, and I would love to return. This video of yours is fabulous. I want to visit the Opera Restaurant, which is amazing. Thank you for showing us.
😊❤️👍
We had 4 day museum pass, when we were there mid March. We were also very lucky to have Sunny days😊😊😊. Make sure to make reservations on the popular ones.
Beautiful ❤🎉
i've climbed those many steps of the arc de triomphe, but last time i went with my 70+ year old mom and they let us take the elevator. though she's plenty strong and able to take the stairs, we appreciated the easy ride :)
Oh, what we would have given for an elevator!
That little restaurant with wild boar has really affordable prices and the dishes were appetizing.
So yummy
Hola, nosotros compramos ese pase y realmente valió la pena. Excelente video.
Gracias!
I love Musee d'Orsay.
It's a train station from the Belle Epoque built in the Art Nuveau style. All the art in there is from the Belle Epoque. even though it doesn't look big from the outside, it's pretty big. Tons of things to see.
It may be our favorite at museum in Paris
Did you guys do a nighttime tour of the city? That would be perfect!
great idea!!
I'm noticing the hotel prices don't seem to come back down after the Olympics. I'm wondering about that...
Love these videos!
Merci
Thanks for the Hotel.... the price of the room? Insane
J'adore un repas de sangliers. Lucky you! I hope that you had a good glass of red wine with it. Mille mercis.
Oui!
Bonjour💕
