Those golden vintage sleds (when properly restored) had a rumble that was exciting. Hearing this sled brings back memories for me of when my Dad would start-up our '71 Skidoo Olympique on a cold, wintery Canadian night. My Mom would say "Hey, get your snowmobile-suit on...Dad's going-out for a ride..." Such beautiful memories, thank you Vladi for the show.

This is so increadable! I didn't know about snowmobiles until 1974 or so. My first experience was a 12 hp Skidoo Olympic at age 9 or so. It was a late 60s or early 70s model. I don't know, I was too young. Later on when I was about 14 I discovered Johnson snowmobiles. The one I road the most was a late 60s 440 that spit droplets of gas all over my coat. Then a 1976 Johnson 400 I think, but it was way nicer and faster than the old 440. It felt like power steering in comparison. The seat was so much more comfortable and you sat up higher and there was shocks on the skis. It even had gages. I want an antique snowmobile just because I think they are so cool. Later again in life I finally got to ride a 1980s Blizzard, which as a child was my dream sled. The new sleds are so impressive, but I miss the old ones.

Beautiful and rare! I just picked up a 72 SW433b in original survivor condition. I had one 30 years ago and man does it bring back a flood of memories!

Your exciter didn't have the 350 cc
It has the 440cc. Or the 340cc

I m a yamaha fan ! don t know much about specs and history ! I do have a Yamaha sled ! not too old yet ! it s a v-max XTC 1998 700 tripple ! I traded my SRX 700 exaust valves for that XTC 700 ! in Edmonton AB in my storage ! i wanna sell it ! i put 2,000 $ new parts on it and did maby 20 miles after that ! new seat, track, heated handles, wheel bearings, blades with carbides under plastic skis, and a few repairs ! needs new slides soon ! a good tune-up , cleaning gas line and this little bomb goes 96 mph way before 1/4 mile ! LoL tell you what ! i m gonna upload a short vid of it on my channel so you can see it ! LoL you know you just click on my logo ! 😎
