at 4:25 and 15:30 the sturgeon was lifted up by the fishing line/hook out of the water and into the boat..be careful, technically per the regulation since Octobers C&R that was illegal.."Sturgeon shall not be held out of water suspended by the gills, gill plates, mouth, or solely by the tail, and shall not be dragged across the ground, boat decks, or piers." The only way to handle sturgeon by hand is with 2 hands, one on the tail and one supporting the belly. landing them is either the same way, or they have to be netted. Regardless of personal feelings, it's important for all of us to follow the rules to have the best odds of keeping this fishery open. great video brother; ive never fished pittsburg for sturgeon. I';ve been successful in susuin and antioch. what tide was this on?
@Broletariatt96 thanks for the reminder, sir. I appreciate it. I definitely need to get a smaller net for the little guys. Or find a different technique to release them on the side of the boat in the water.
Slayed em! 🔥🔥
