Rank Reel Presents: Rak of Aegis

#Theater : Since its first staging in 2014, Philippine Educational Theater Association #PETA 's #RakOfAegis has built an otherworldly yet familiar world of song and dance, that bannered the discography of OPM icon, Aegis, while cleverly mirroring realities of Filipino culture and community. Now on its seventh season, RoA continues to cause a wave of change in perspective in what theater can do to tell stories that matter, even if it is hidden under the guise of high-octane performances, tonsil-breaking song sequences, and comedic genius brought by the production's top-caliber leads and ensemble.
Rank Magazine sat down with director Maribel Legarda to talk about the production's beginnings to its continuing evolution as we draw closer to the last shows of this season.
Including interviews with Diohanna Plantado Tiongson, Kakai Bautista, and Kim Molina. With clips of performances of Pepe Herrera, Aicelle Santos, Derrick Monasterio, Shaira Rica Avelino Opsimar, Jimi Marquez and the talented ensemble that make up this quintessential Pinoy jukebox musical.
