Every pro artist started somewhere, people get hung up about new artists looking to get a helping hand, if more people like this guy helped a little more, then everyone benefits, artists and clients, established pros have nothing to fear, give people a break
I also have tattooed my self and when I went to effums body works those ass holes said that's bad, to tattoo your self! I feel like if you can take pain while still coming out with good art on your self then you are a skilled artist
awesome. I've had my heart set on this profession for a long time... I've been drawing for a long time and as of the past couple months i've been almost addicted to watching tattoo tutorials, videos, etc... informational video. love it :)
duuuuudeeee plsss just plsssss make more video cuz i've been learning so much about you now i'm tattooing better then before like serious make more !!!!!!! B) Bwoy Ink !
I'm good with the outlining & everything, I'm scared as shit to shade & I have tried the coloring which came out awesome but I still need to practice on how to lighten my black...I only want to tat myself for now...
absolutely love your videos, very informative, clear and professional. i just got my own starter kit (simply to practice on fruit and skin paper and learn about the machines, not inking people). iv been struggling to get an apprenticeship in my area. i've received great feedback as far as my portfolio and art skill goes but it's simply too competitive of an area to apprentice people and lose potential business to them. tattooing is a passion of mine and your videos are helping that come to fruition. i have a great respect for the industry and my biggest fear is scarring people or doing mediocre work to them or appearing as a scratcher. thanks for making these vids, i think you're helping a lot of people avoid making permanent mistakes on clients/friends and giving the industry a bad name.
that is true but later on when you develop skill and time is no longer as crammed to get work in, the specific functionality of every piece of equipment you own comes into play.
love to hear someone who knows what there talking about. Keep up the educational videos Johnny, other than yours their few and far between. As all those so called artists don't think anyone else is on their level!!!
Thanks man I have a Light hand so I tend to not go deep enough. Video helped, also I've been working on myself aswell. any tips on tatting when you can't hardly stretch your own? Would greatly appreciate it
Hey man this is one of the best needle depth vids ive found 2 thumbs up but i have a question do you hang the same amount of needle out for lining or around 2-2.5 mm just doin sum practicing an was wantin your opinion thanks
Johnny what do I do to make my machine not hit so hard because I've been practicing on myself and the tattoos have been scarring and they're raised. I've only been going a dime width deep into my skin.

Hi there have been watching a few of ur vids and actually learned from it. Now I have this yellow I have been trying to sink into my skin and what happens is it looks all good then when it starts to peal it just falls off after like 3 days now do u suggest going a little deeper or try a different yellow as I really don't want to chew up my skin and mess the piece up the red blue and green n black are all the same ink and are going in with ease I'm using radiant colours. The yellow is frustrating me to the max I don't understand why it won't stay put if u look hard u can see like little splashes here and there that have took.but nowhere near what I want it to be like
WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO SAVE THE OUTLINE ONCE ITS ON THE SKIN, DO YOU BEGIN FROM RIGHT TO LEFT OR VISA VERA DEPENDING ON THE SIDE OF THE BODY ITS ON.. AND DO YOU NOT START WITH VASELINE OR ANY OINTMENT ONLY SOAP TO WIPE AS YOU START THE OUTLINE??
I've been looking for this kind of tutorial, and finally got it, however the video was kinda blury I cant see the needle going into the skin on how dept it should be.. pls one more video

Yes, having a little give makes lines much less traumatic and allows for up to 3 passes

Johnny do you line with that much give as well or do you like your liners to hit harder.
