I believe it's difficult to economically send a more representative delegation. Good effort by responsible agency. In the future, please minimize equipment made in China, Europe and America..
I suspected Mendana was searching for Gold back then that was his original goal leaving Europe and ended up in the Solomon Islands and other Pacific Island nations. Because you can't just picked Gold anywhere unless he had some gold detective devices with him

Alvaro De Mendana discovered Solomon Islands in 1568 n his second voyage in 1594. Therefore, Solomon Islands discovered in 1500's not 1700's.
