Guy, you just said the fact. But I do not entirely regret, I feel I/we are able to learn fast because we got the basics and first hand exposure, if you get what I mean. Let's not regret, let's keep learning and growing 💗
Thanks for this illustration I see where I get it wrong I do cut the black fabric out from my Ankara totally and replace it with the black Instead of cutting the neck alone
@Stylebyreme Thanks, Mom. You're such a darling 🤗 I love sewing. When I had my Advanced Level Certificate, I paid for a 3-year training program in a professional school but at the end of the 3 years, I wasn't able to do certain sewing basics. The CEO of this sewing institution had invented basic sewing patterns which made our dresses not as nice as we wished because she didn't want us to be like her. We (my fellow sew mates and I) sewed dresses, but they always came out ugly. She sewed perfectly well. One day, we complained about all the difficulties we faced when sewing, and she told us that we had to learn sewing the hard way because she didn't learn it. It was a gift from God. I had a passion for buying fabrics to sew. I bought fabrics until I had many big bags full of amazing fabrics. But at some point, I lost the burning desire I had to sew after seeing all my beautiful fabrics go to waste. I went back to school and earned my Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management. How did I come across your TH-cam channel? Well, 5 years ago I saw a financially broke lady who started sewing at her home. She wore what she sewed and posted it on Facebook frequently. Today, she has 3 shops in 3 countries and has started a construction project for her professional sewing school. This week she posted a series of beautiful Ankara Bubus. I was amazed and wanted to make the same dresses for myself. So, I told myself; "It's true you didn't learn the basics when you did your professional sewing, but TH-cam is here. Go there and do some research." So, I went to TH-cam and typed "Bubu." There were many videos proposed to me among which your video. But for a reason I don't know, I decided to click on your video and I was amazed. Your explanations were explicit, simple, and straight to the point. Then I went through your other videos and I was amazed. I thanked God for letting my eyes set on your video. Seeing your videos rekindled the love I have for sewing. I think it's time for me to start shopping for fabrics as I used to. 😂😂😂 Sorry for being so long with my text. Just wanted to let you know the journey I've been through and most especially to thank you for your videos. I live in Cameroon. I hope one day we'll meet. Until then, take care 😘😘😘
