In this, you can see the maturity and the increased means and production design that are now at his disposal. He is an artistically VERY clever person, and it shows in the way he is maturing! What's strange is that it seems like it was all there all along: This boy was ready for world fame at thirteen years old, and we're just watching him take what is his.
I used to love watching and listening to Diva Dance and Opera 2 a long time ago. That's how and when I discovered Dimash by accident early this year when I searched for my old favorites on TH-cam. That was so much fun, a pick-me-up song. Always make me feel happy and content.
Also watch his Diva Dance performance from his Bastau Concert...even better! This was great but you have to see the Bastau Concert. A great song to watch is Olympico from his Arnau concert in 2019. He understands the importance of conveying the real story of music through performance. His total commitment to the story in appearance, dress, body language, and emotion is like a mini-opera. Going into the contest he was told he was only allowed to finish as high as 2nd. I watched all 14 weeks and only saw Dimash sing 13 times , maybe that was to make it closer . The winner was the very talented Sandy Lam. The next year they changed the rule and let a foreigner win- Jessie J.
This was the competition "I'm singer" in 2017, he didn't won because strangers couldn't won, it must have been a chinese singer who won. The next years, they have changed the rules, because of Dimash, the strangers can win now. (If I don't mistake) He's perfect as always 🥰
You have already heard it dozens of times: The Bastau version of Diva Dance is even closer to the original, so it justifies another reaction. But since that version is very short I would suggest to add the duet version with Li Yugang because Dimash is doing something completely unexpected there, and Li adds a very different sryle to it.

Yes, he actually has a 7-octave range: C1 to D8. Totally amazing. Oh, & his first album went Platinum. We could have expected that, but it was accomplished in 47 seconds!! Good review. ~♥~

Wonderful reaction, and you taught me something I didn't know about the Diva Dance! In terms of the quality of the dancer in Confessa, you have to remember that this was NOT his show. This was a singing competition in China that brought together some of the best singers in the world known to the Chinese people. It was Dimash who was the unknown and who made it onto the show only as a wild card. His first song SOS blew the Chinese people's minds, and overnight he just blew up, and suddenly he was required to have a body guard when he got out onto the streets in China! He finished 2nd, which is amazing for a non-Chinese singer. During the competition he even sang in Chinese, and some Chinese reactors said that they had to remind themselves that he was not a native speaker! He is truly a Renaissance Man, of the alien variety! LOL!

Please find time to watch Diva Dance, Bastau concert which was held a few months after coming from the China competition in 2017. Dimash was much more relax during his concert performance compared to the china version. Among the reasons which adversely affected his performances during the competition are overfatigue, very tight schedule, getting sick from time to time which caused him to loss his voice.
Dimash was sent to us and I feel it has been decades if ever someone singing those octaves + notes ha ve not been heard. HE is our gift so I watch daily. Glad you making time to go on DIMASH Journey because he has meaning & messages in every some he performs..other than funky like song he sang in 2017, but all do not have to be so serious or story telling in our words. DIMASH touches everything he sings and his bands , dancers, background singers, orchestra's and they say he is stubborn so has his way of how it should sound and he knows already so he touch his songs and there is effort to please his Dears and his PASSION~performing and singing. Got to love his PASSION and he is doing what he was born to do.

He has more than one version of Diva Dance. Although I love this combination, there are other versions where the Diva Dance portion is stronger. Dimash also has sung Opera 2 (originally sung by Vitas) with some fun variants. Dimash’s charisma is off the charts.
I like to recommend "Opera 2" DQ's cover of Vitas' hit. It really shows up Dimash's lighter flirty side. He performed this on I Am Singer 2017 not knowing his father had travelled from Astana to watch him perform having been told that Dimash was suffering from homesickness. After the performance Dimash sees his father and apologize for his not so serious performance. Got to be kidding right?
Also as soon as Dimash and his dad Kanat come out from the showroom ...Dimash turnd to him and asked if he did OK!!!! Also then Dimash was on his way in to the outhers he again asked his dad if he had done good!!! Also told him he whanted to go home and his dad answered we are here for you. Know that tells us a lot about how Dimash is as a person!!!!!!!

Well, the dancer is irrelevant so it doesn't bother me but it wouldn't hurt if she was younger to match him. 😂 The Diva Dance by Dimash at his Bastau concert is even better than this version. Of course nobody can overlap their voice like in the movie (cuz she's an alien) but he comes so close to perfection! ❤
There are at least two other versions of Diva Dance you need to check out, especially the Diva Dance/Drunken Concubine duet he did with Lee Yugang. Each version he does that special section a bit differently.

Definitely watch the Basteau concert Diva Dance, it’s short, but quite better than this, especially the strength of the low part. A huge part of the impact of Dimash is watching him perform, some of the magic, his absorption of the character, needs to be watched, not just listened to. Of course once you have watched him perform a song over and over like I have, your mind can see him performing it, love your reactions to Dimash, you have quite a journey ahead ❤️
Trust me, I was at his live concert and there were dancers which I vaguely recall. I am sure they were amazing but you are right, when he is on stage, you see little else. His Diva Dance at Bastau concert was even better.

Приз лучшему иностранному исполнителю. Прикольно, если учесть, что он там был единственным иностранцем. Да, ещё специальный приз за композицию "Поздняя осень" Не знаю, как, там по музыке, я не спец, но по силе эмоционального воздействия, это бомба!
Dimash won first place in several episodes of the Singer 2017 competition but did not win the competition itself. He came in second. But, if you watch the full episodes of the Singer where Dimash performs, after the very first performance (SOS where he came in first), the 500 member audience (the judges), composed of music professionals, would give Dimash a standing ovation as he walked in the door before he even began to sing and would give him a standing ovation each time he did sing. So it is very evident Dimash did not win as he was not Chinese. But he had the last laugh since he became a super mega star in China and was invited to every state festival, just about every concert, tv performance, tv shows right and left, did movie themes, tv series themes, etc. etc. Dimash also was awarded just about every award the Chinese could give a foreign singer. His singles would be number 1 hits consistently and when he did release his first album "iD" in 2019, it went platinum in 37 seconds and triple platinum in an hour. (you can find his singles and albums on Amazon and other music sellers) Dimash's Chinese songs are very beautiful so check all of them out. He is currently getting his second album (all Kazkh songs) ready for release "soon" (as he says) but he does release singles periodically. Dimash is releasing (hopefully all) the Digital concert he gave in Jan 2021. It was a spectacular concert of older and newer songs but performed at an incredible level. We were amazed how he could possibly have improved from perfection. 2021 is an outstanding year for Dimash video releases. Playlists for New Wave 2018, 2019 and 2021, Slavic Bazaar 2018 and 2021, and the Digital Show 2021 are on his channel. You can't go wrong with any of these performances. Also, ALL his music videos are superb works of art.

Diva Dance is definitely better when he sang it at Bastau, although I would also recommend watching the version he did when he combined it with Drunken Concubine. Maybe do a reaction to both?
You should react to Diva Dance by Dimash duet with a Chinese singer Li Yugang. It's just other-worldly beautiful, much more beautiful than this version.

He has more than one version of Diva Dance. Although I love this combination, there are other versions where the Diva Dance portion is stronger. Dimash also has sung Opera 2 (originally sung by Vitas) with some fun variants. Dimash’s charisma is off the charts.

I like to recommend "Opera 2" DQ's cover of Vitas' hit. It really shows up Dimash's lighter flirty side. He performed this on I Am Singer 2017 not knowing his father had travelled from Astana to watch him perform having been told that Dimash was suffering from homesickness. After the performance Dimash sees his father and apologize for his not so serious performance. Got to be kidding right?
Also as soon as Dimash and his dad Kanat come out from the showroom ...Dimash turnd to him and asked if he did OK!!!! Also then Dimash was on his way in to the outhers he again asked his dad if he had done good!!! Also told him he whanted to go home and his dad answered we are here for you.
Know that tells us a lot about how Dimash is as a person!!!!!!!

The Diva Dance by Dimash at his Bastau concert is even better than this version. Of course nobody can overlap their voice like in the movie (cuz she's an alien) but he comes so close to perfection! ❤

There are at least two other versions of Diva Dance you need to check out, especially the Diva Dance/Drunken Concubine duet he did with Lee Yugang. Each version he does that special section a bit differently.

Definitely watch the Basteau concert Diva Dance, it’s short, but quite better than this, especially the strength of the low part. A huge part of the impact of Dimash is watching him perform, some of the magic, his absorption of the character, needs to be watched, not just listened to. Of course once you have watched him perform a song over and over like I have, your mind can see him performing it, love your reactions to Dimash, you have quite a journey ahead ❤️
Trust me, I was at his live concert and there were dancers which I vaguely recall. I am sure they were amazing but you are right, when he is on stage, you see little else. His Diva Dance at Bastau concert was even better.

Приз лучшему иностранному исполнителю. Прикольно, если учесть, что он там был единственным иностранцем. Да, ещё специальный приз за композицию "Поздняя осень" Не знаю, как, там по музыке, я не спец, но по силе эмоционального воздействия, это бомба!

Dimash won first place in several episodes of the Singer 2017 competition but did not win the competition itself. He came in second. But, if you watch the full episodes of the Singer where Dimash performs, after the very first performance (SOS where he came in first), the 500 member audience (the judges), composed of music professionals, would give Dimash a standing ovation as he walked in the door before he even began to sing and would give him a standing ovation each time he did sing. So it is very evident Dimash did not win as he was not Chinese. But he had the last laugh since he became a super mega star in China and was invited to every state festival, just about every concert, tv performance, tv shows right and left, did movie themes, tv series themes, etc. etc. Dimash also was awarded just about every award the Chinese could give a foreign singer. His singles would be number 1 hits consistently and when he did release his first album "iD" in 2019, it went platinum in 37 seconds and triple platinum in an hour. (you can find his singles and albums on Amazon and other music sellers) Dimash's Chinese songs are very beautiful so check all of them out.
He is currently getting his second album (all Kazkh songs) ready for release "soon" (as he says) but he does release singles periodically.
Dimash is releasing (hopefully all) the Digital concert he gave in Jan 2021. It was a spectacular concert of older and newer songs but performed at an incredible level. We were amazed how he could possibly have improved from perfection. 2021 is an outstanding year for Dimash video releases. Playlists for New Wave 2018, 2019 and 2021, Slavic Bazaar 2018 and 2021, and the Digital Show 2021 are on his channel. You can't go wrong with any of these performances. Also, ALL his music videos are superb works of art.

Diva Dance is definitely better when he sang it at Bastau, although I would also recommend watching the version he did when he combined it with Drunken Concubine. Maybe do a reaction to both?
