Devil feast or memot feast is a long-standing belief of the Khmer people that continues to this day. Once a year, during the month of Meak, relatives of a clan associated with demonic successors gather to perform the ritual, with a set of fruits, cakes, food, and clothing, which is a favorite of the deceased ancestors or relatives. There must be a band to play music and sing to invite the soul to enter the successor. When the soul came in and danced, ate, and dressed as he wished, the participants of the ceremony came to ask for happiness or apology, and then the soul left. The musicians also perform and sing eels calling the souls of the relatives until the end of the ceremony.
