Oh yeah you definitely have to open your hand. Depending on how your arm muscles are from a clinched fist to a splayed hand there could be a huge difference. I wasn’t sure if you measure it on the wrist bone or right behind it
Great video! I have pretty much the same wrist size as you, what watch case diameter fits you the best. I thought all the watches you tried looked perfectly sized for your wrist. I want to avoid buying sizes that go beyond the width of my wrist.
16,5 cm = 6,5 inch here. Waiting for a 33 mm Casio and 38 mm Seiko 5 in the mail. My current 40 mm feels like the limit, but maybe 42 mm could work, too? Not sure... I'd like to try some in a store, but they are pretty intimidating, to be honest...
I have a question, im a 1st timer rolex gmt master 2 owner, it is normal to a watch to stop running specially at night when ur not using it or when it's not fitted to ur wrist? Hope someone can answer.
Probably wasn't wounded up all the way, and the power reserve is about a day and a half. So yes if you don't wear it it will stop working, mechanical watches are different from quartz watches.
I was surprised because I am a small person, my wrists seem rather small,. but they measure 7" and when I was shopping for a bracelet, John Hardy listed 6.75" to 7" as large, so I thought I was measuring wrong.

It doesn’t have much to do with height, I’m 184cm and my 37mm looks good on me because I have skinny wrists. It does look a bit small compared to the size of my arms and hands
It depends on a person’s preference, but generally people like them to be tight enough to not slide around, but not tight enough to be uncomfortable and cut off the blood flow.
I looked at this video and thought "omg how does this take 5 minutes to explain"
But i watched it all and you made it really informative! Thanks =D
Great tip to open your hand when measuring. I didn't know that! Thanks.

Depends on the lug to lug size. Some smaller watches even wear bigger.
I thought these measurements would be totally obvious, but there is more detail/diiferences here than I imagined - thanks.

My wrist is 15cm, what case size should I go for? 38mm? 41mm?
Always try watches which do not go past your wrist lug to lug. Although you could go a little overboard if you are muscular or longer limbs
"...your wrists don't have exactly the same size"

I am willing to toss my watch band in the trash if it is not adjustable. If my band has no pins to adjust that are easily accessible is it a cheapie?

Can you just measure the diameter of your watch when open?
What Mm of dial will suit a 6.5 inch wrist
44 - 48mm lug to lug, no more than that imo.

Not really. Aim for comfortable. If it means tight for you, then tight it is :)
