This version is a bit dissapointing. While i like some of the remixed songs and main menu new sprites, engine sounds (i wish there was a mod in MS DOS for this) and glitches fixed (though this besides some exceptions i think they remove certain appeal to the game), there some things that feel off to me, like the drivers being changed to some ugly japanese persons, old tracks being easier due to having less elements, AI is harder, tournament mode is so dissapointing being just a bunch of tracks that are unlocked with a car restriction instead of an actual tournament, menus are clunky as hell, game runs slower, worse drawn distance, button layout cannot be changed to the OG (i get used to up and down instead of Z and X to accelerate and brake), speed units changed to KMH and cannot be changed and of couse no mods or extra content like cars/obstacles. For being released 3 years after the OG on a more powerful computer, it should be way better. But hey! At least they remember to create a track for Otto! So thats something i guess :P
These digital sounds are much better than the analog FM from the PC version.
