What a lot of people don’t understand about Screw did was that he would essentially rearrange & remix records, he didn’t just slow them down, he change the syncopations & live engineered the song on the turntables. He was basically the J Dillard of DJ’s. He was Mastermind & production genius that people don’t really get what he was doing.
Very hard to pull off that’s why it’s so amazing to hear, been choppin n screwing for 3 years and still practicing on overlaying a lotta tracks at once, just listen to all screwed up vol ll mix and overlayed tracks back to back on that album
