I think it really just depends on what they are looking for. Let it be known, these are two very different games. They can’t at all be compared. It’s like comparing Roblox rp, to GTA rp. Different people will find different things they like and dislike, and those things they like someone else may dislike, or something they dislike may be something someone else likes. If you want a more social experience, hanging with friends, more easy and less frustrating, PoT (tho, community servers are there too for realism, and it may be just as frustrating and boring. Depends). If you’re looking for a kill or be killed, live life realistically, strictly, and cautiously. No socializing, and finding everything out on your own but also grouping up with others, having senses, and just overall more realistic then the isle. It can mean different things to different people. Ultimately, only individual people can decide which one they like better when they try and test out both.
I like the Isle a lot more, I have played both path of titans and the isle extensively. I agree with you completely, I like the isles unforgiving more realistic environment a lot more. I feels a lot more like Nature, you feel like something is watching you at all times, animals are brutal and the isle depicts it very well and makes it fun and naturals to play. You grow by keeping your dinosaur healthy rather then collecting nuts. The combat in the isle is much better, every dinosaur has a special ability from the pounce to venom or ramming. Pots main problem is the combat. Its just kinda, meh. Most dinosaurs have tail whips for some reason even when they shouldn't and they just feel like copy's of each other rather then fully unique expierneces.
Better graphics, Better mechanics, Better immersion, Better concepts, And ultimately, NO MMO quest-based gameplay! Better overall. The isle evrima is the best of the two, hands down.

Agreed man, I have been playing the Isle for nearly a decade now (holy fuck) and have hundreds of hours on the game. Fair to say I love it, but the slow progress and complete harsh resets, seemingly empty world sometimes, and slow as fuck updates are really getting to me. PoT is a bit to Arcady for my liking but I’m gonna give it a shot, I like the progression speed, love the amount of creatures, and the game genuinely is progressing which is awesome to see.
@@Jurassicgalaxy1245 Honestly I’ve moved away from the Isle some and am looking at PoT or BoB as my next game. The Isle is just too time consuming and really does feel like a game for the unemployed, which I was when I started playing. However as I’m in University now and just don’t have the free time I used to it’s hard to justify spending 8 hours growing something, playing it for another 5 and then dying and just not wanting to start over again. That’s already over multiple sessions over multiple days, and is the best case scenario wherein you don’t die at any process of growth causing resets. I love the Isle and it will forever hold a special place in my heart, but those growth times just kill me from enjoying a game I would otherwise love.

The Isle just released the new map - Gateway. They have introduced different climates from rain, to sunny, fogg and different shapes and shades during the night. The isle is the ultimate superior game. Each Dinosaur you play is a completely unique experience. Hence the reason why it takes longer for patches and dinosaurs to come out. Otherwise they would just copy skeletons of existing ones, change stats and modeling and there you go, a new dinosaur.
Ultimately, only you can decide which one is good. Whether it’s the isle or PoT, only when you play both, can only you decide which one is better for you. No one else can decide that for you because Everyone will have different experiences and preferences when it comes to these two very different games.
Both are good games i prefer path of titans because it's more fun and has alot more to offer but if you want a realism experience then the isle is good and path of titans is alot more available it's on consoles and mobile too making it alot better
I’ve never played the isle but is it true if you die in the isle you loose all your growth and go back to a baby just saying in path of titans you loose only one spot of growth like if you a adult and die you go back to sub on oath of titans
I love The isle and when I heard of Path of Titans and heard so many talking about how much better it is then The Isle I wanted to give it a try! So I did and I was excited! Then.. it was really boring for me and weird..? I just think its boring and it just feels like a toxic hang out game to me, where it takes you 50+ hours to grow unless your on a community server, which is much more fun but In the end I am choosing The isle all the way! I suppose it would be fun to play Path of Titans with friends first but non of them have Path Of Titans so I just stick with hanging out with them on The isle.
The isle has been in development for 9 years, no amount of yearly updates is gonna mask that failure. I have clocked over 1k hours in The Isle and I am really disappointed that its barely changed since evrima dropped, PoT has been out a fraction of the time has more content and they are updating it more regularly than the isle. As for the "toxic hangout" claim, that's a completely unfair assessment as I have seen this thing countless times on the isle. People just mix packing and not attacking each other. Sure PoT allows you to group with other species, but if you don't like that, play a community server with rules against it. Don't get me wrong, I love the isle, but PoT has actually been able to give me what I want in a timely fashion, because lets be honest the isle will not be complete for a good few years yet. I fear that by the time The Isle finishes development, the player base will be widdled down to its hardcore fans.
I dont get the people who critizice The Isle for losing your progress when you die. The best part of the game is not just being a big dinosaur that can kill everyone on the server, the fun is in the struggle to survive, to slowly grow and feel the sense of acomplishment and relief every time you escape death. Sure, being a full grown adult apex predator and feeling powerful is great, but that gets old really fast. Its supposed to be an inmersive experience and it is, its scary when you get jumpscared by a massive dinosaur that is bigger than you, but that tension is what makes the game more fun. So yeah, you can critisize The Isle for its painfully slow updates, performance issues and laggy servers, all of wich are big problems in the game and I can understand that someone might not play the game for those problems, but the gameplay is really good (assuming you like the slow survival games). If I liked word of warcraft perhaps I would play path of Titans.
He forgot to mention you better pray to a Deity that you can even get the servers to appear, and hosting you're own single player is impossible for the Isle.
The isle is more realistic, but more like a battle royale kind of game. Pot is more adventurous, friendly to beginners. The isle is barely alive with updates... and if they privated their OWN roadmap, then that to me shows they arent on schedule...
@AzzeyUK Thank you lmao, it is majorly sus though to private it... and with how slooooooooooow the devs update the isle, I think stuff isn't going to be done
@@Im_Iconic-Youre_Ironic they changed the format of the roadmap completely to a form that enables them to push out content a lot faster. Basically everything you said got proven false xD
@@BeNiceToday2 The Isle is much more punishing overall, as it focuses more on the "realistic" survival elements. For example, the idea of a young dino all alone dying of starvation is one I can believe, as I imagine that was pretty common in real life. Survival in that environment would be pretty damn hard! Whether that type of "sim-like" gameplay is actually fun though is up to the individual, but I personally enjoy it.
Can you compare Beast of Bermuda as well? Its basically the third of the big dinosaur games right now and yet I only see videos comparing these two and leaving out Beasts of Bermuda

its not about the game itself, its about how u play it and why. the isle Pros. - Beautiful grafic - gameplay is fun and u can drag some dinos cons - You need an average pc - its defendly more fun with friends Path of titans - crossplay on all platforms ( Xbox, Switch, PS5, Pc, IOS and android ) - It has a free version - Modding community is huge - the game is still in development and they have a 5-10 year plan to finish it. cons - Questing is boring - the game is still in development and changes are sometimes huge I was choosing pot, just because i can play with all my friends and didn't have to buy a ps5 or a new pc just to play with them. for me its just the crossplay that makes the biggest difference for me. and they havent an excuse not to try it XD
and you've also gotta remember due to the game being in an early state, that boring questing is subject to change, seeing as they've stated that the current questing system is going to be heavily imrpoved upon
Wow, I have played hundreds of hours and as a baby Rex never been able to just roar at people’s faces with out getting destroyed. What is going on. I play solo official though. No clue what this video was playing.
Path of Titans seems way too arcade for me. While the vast range of dinosaurs is far superior to The Isle, the dinosaurs that The Isle does have are far deeper and more unique. The Isle is definitely the one and only dinosaur survival game. Far superior atmosphere, graphics, combat and grit compared to anything else. It's what I've been hoping for forever. It too has it's flaws though. Optimization is a huge issue. The low amount of playable dinos, though it's looking a lot better now than say a year ago, is still inferior to other games, including the old Legacy branch of The Isle itself. But like I said, it's slowly but surely getting there in terms of the sheer range of dinosaurs to choose from, but it already makes up for it imo with the depth of gameplay these different dinosaurs have. Long gaps between updates is another issue the game has been struggling with, though apparently this is being dealt with, and they should get more frequent in the future. Still, even with all it's flaws, The Isle stands out as the clear winner for me. It's such a fun experience.
i don't know. the isle evrima is nice but with the ping is unplayable. the dino is going back and forward, loosing fights cause of that high ping.the EU server is like 60-70 ping and when you play is going 160 + and then is becoming totaly unplayable.i still didn't find any solution about this problem. btw the legacy doesn't have high ping at all and a lots of dino to play. so i can't enjoy the evrima at all.
problem with Path of Titans is there is no Dino AI and the maps feel empty and absolutely void of life because it is if you see another Dinosaur it is another player .The graphics are nice and there are many more Dinosaurs...But its just an inferior game.
@@JordZz1981 i played with both and my experience in pot is horrible. Players mixpacked against me in unfair situations, even my own teammates killed me, teabagged me etc etc.

The isle is much worse. Full growth reset on death, makes actually fighting a huge risk, super unoptimized and shite frames. Only recently added more playable, limited habitats, no mod support. If the isle fixes its frames I’d play it, but even on a good pc it’s not enjoyable to play.
What? I've been back on the isle since 6.5 and it's been running smoothly at 60-80 frames on a pc I built 2 years ago so its in no way up to date. As for the reset on death, that is a skill issue 😂 what is the point if there is no risk? Makes fighting boring, when you get into a fight after growing a dino for a few hours make that dino your using have worth/value. Makes you think twice and not to aimlessly run to your death. Gives it that shock and awe when you get into a fight and come out Victorious. I've put a bunch of hours into both games. I played PoT since it launched its beta but nothing compares to the isle.
As for payable dinos, I agree there on thats a huge aspect why I was away for so long, but quality of quantity. Each dino so far is amazing to play and is showing its unique gameplay. I believe once they start truly adding a more variety of dinos its sky rocket in its player base
Path of titans Is without a doubt a better game Here is my reason it released for every system including switch I can't even play isle so to me it's trash

Yeah that's true, there is no experience like the isle. Super slow updates. Barely any dinos. The diet system doesn't even allow you to adventure. You lose all growth like your time doesn't even matter. Should I continue? 🤣

I have both games , graphically the isle looks better, but path of titans has more dinos a killer modding community and more diverse game play imo
Now I just play creatures of sonaria. At the very least, everybody is on that game, no matter what time you play. I want to play the isle, but no one is ever on whenever I log in.
If you want a more survival based experience in path of titans find realism community servers
I'll check them out! I spent a few hours on different servers but I didn't see a realism one! Will try and find one, Thanks!

Better graphics,
Better mechanics,
Better immersion,
Better concepts,
And ultimately, NO MMO quest-based gameplay!
Better overall.
The isle evrima is the best of the two, hands down.

@@Great.808 and yes most servers have the bdy down rule. So if you hunt something and your a solo rex and there's a herd of trikes, you can kill one and fight ends but they can kill you to and the fight ends. Makes it to where there's no unnecessary killing and fair

Honestly I’ve moved away from the Isle some and am looking at PoT or BoB as my next game.
I love the Isle and it will forever hold a special place in my heart, but those growth times just kill me from enjoying a game I would otherwise love.
this Christmas I will be getting my first gaming pc I will be FOR sure be getting the isle.
isle is fun? gosh, some people are just so easily impressed. I mean PoT isn't my cup of tea either, but I can see the game being developed, things added, so progress happening. Evrima is in development for over 3 years ( I've literally lost count ) and we're still playing pretty much the same thing we had in Legacy.
Yeah i haven't seen much change in The Isle for a while now, shame to say!
THIS!
Play on the other map on Path of Titans and go to the Impact Crater if you want action. It is a bloodbath depending on the server and they have the Hatzegopteryx now. (Very similar to Quetzalcoatlus)
Thanks, been trying to figure out what to play, liked the sound of the Isle until I heard about the mix packing, I like surviving and feeling like unless you play it smart you'll get merked so it looks like I'm gonna give the Isle a go
Something to mention is that when your in community server, theres usually afk growth. Just an fyi

@@JordZz1981 It was an opinion, I speak from my experience. The isle feels fun alone or not alone to me, but path of titans is fun with a friend.
I couldn't agree with you more to be fair, I haven't been able to jump on it for quite a while, has it had many updates or improvements?
He forgot to mention you better pray to a Deity that you can even get the servers to appear, and hosting you're own single player is impossible for the Isle.
Are you running the Evrima patch on The Isle? There's several official servers and even more community run ones! 🤟

Pros.

Personally for me, I’m choosing the Isle all day.
i don't know. the isle evrima is nice but with the ping is unplayable. the dino is going back and forward, loosing fights cause of that high ping.the EU server is like 60-70 ping and when you play is going 160 + and then is becoming totaly unplayable.i still didn't find any solution about this problem. btw the legacy doesn't have high ping at all and a lots of dino to play. so i can't enjoy the evrima at all.
problem with Path of Titans is there is no Dino AI and the maps feel empty and absolutely void of life because it is if you see another Dinosaur it is another player .The graphics are nice and there are many more Dinosaurs...But its just an inferior game.

How is losing everything upon death a con? It adds weight to your fights as there is actually a consequence to not playing it right.
