Jafaa: Why do our writers get amnesia while writing scripts. Andaleeb came back to see her daughter, but she never once mentioned her daughter with her mom or asked about her. Instead of asking her mom to go bring Anadil to her, her priority was getting her cousin married to her husband and went to see Zara to convince her for the marriage.
Bro I was stunned when she got immediately concerned with Zara and numair’s marriage 😭😭 like girl you JUST came back and THIS is your priority? Also she was ready to hand anadil over had zara agreed for marriage so what exactly has changed in her character?
Sehar Khan's hold on the accent and her change of tone and voice modulation as Rabia is such a delight! So much potential in her that's unmatched in the young lot. This is the girl who delivered such worthy performances in GEO's 9pm soaps. Glad she got a script that is worthy of her talent!
Tan Man NeeloNeel stands out with a thrilling episode and terrific performances. I agree with Hassan that you don't get to see a glimpse of Umeed Pasha in Sehar as Rabi. Kudos to her for creating that accent and the body language is very natural and different. I think she deserves credit for it because even though Rabi is sunshine coded, she does not cross the boundary and appear annoying. I could not stop watching Nadia Afgan's scene when she cries. There is not a single weak performance in TMNON.
Andaleeb is a perfect example of how financial independence can never guarantee you emotional maturity. And her parents hit a new low everytime. The audacity of Andaleeb's father to say, "hum ny Numair ko kia samjha aur wo kia nikla!!". Bro you are the one who thought your daughter was the culprit all the time you used Numair as an opportunity to hide your shame, guilt and disgrace. Numair and Zara's conversation was the highlight of the episode. It was well written, well executed and well performed by both the actors. That one conversation had more nuance and sensitivity than whole Andaleeb's and her parent's melodrama!!
The first episode of TMNON was really impressive. From the very first scene, the story grabbed my attention and kept me hooked. Sehar Khan was amazing in her role as a TH-camr; she's such a versatile actress. I also loved the mother-daughter dynamic, their bond felt so natural and heartwarming. Plus, her pairing with Shuja worked really well; they had great on-screen chemistry. The episode started off light and fun, with enjoyable comedy, but then we were introduced to Salim Meeraj’s character, who completely changed the tone. His presence brought a dark intensity to the show. I was totally shocked by what he did to Sonu’s friend-it was so unexpected! I was expecting the show to be a bit more lighthearted, but that scene took everything in a much darker direction, leaving me stunned.
TMNON: Such a tremendous start; from the very first scene and the brilliant dichotomy of happiness and fun with violence and brutality - showed how brilliant the duo if Mustafa Afridi and Saife Hasan is. It’s safe to say that Mustafa Afridi is the best male writer we have. The polar opposites of how asking for money is shown through violence and threats to negotiations and letting go. Where violence is more convincing than one’s honest work. Brilliant. The juggle of comedy while addressing an incredibly difficult and rarely shown issue of male assault is harrowingly captivating and not jarring. Sehar was really eased into the lively girl role while convincingly speaking with her accent. Just waiting for the next episode. Mustafa Afridi has given two brilliant dramas in a single year.
That's avinash tiwary in sikandar ka muqaddar, an extremely underrated and excellent performer. His performance is top notch in every project he's done. And of course laila majnu....! He was terrific as Qais.
About Jafa. Isn't andaleeb legally dead. How can she get any reasonable job if she doesn't have an ID and can't get a new one because the police declared her dead after months of search. And if she can get a new ID won't authorities know then that she's alive and well
Was blown away by TMNN, I haven't seen a more accurate representation of the power tussle, the hierarchical structure and the resulting behaviors between the men in our society. It's a great commentary on who sits on top of the food chain, how that male treats those below him in that chain, and how each individual actor than behaves with other members above n below himself, and then also the other individuals (the women) in their lives. It's fascinating to get a glimpse of the male psyche and social construct here, and what the men around us face
I hope Ahmed Ali Akbar really has a significant role in that Netflix series at least which I doubt due to presence of multiple Momina's faves in it.. Boy not only has been typecasted after Parizaad, but now seems to be stuck in ensemble plays where he hardly has meaty role and just seems to be playing '"bhaichara, dosti" with producers, writers and directors by part of their shows...Hope his solo upcoming on Geo helps him get out of this this whirpool that he seems to be stuck in.
*Tan Maan Neelo Neel* was just another level, it was fun, cute, and then sad scene have me nearly in tears😢 good acting by Saleem Miraj & that guy who was raped . Love Nadia and her husband ,such a cute scene and the bonding between mother and daughter was amazing. ❤
I wana give a special shout out to these series which i am loving these days: *Faraar, Tan Man neelo neel, Duniya Pur, Aye Ishaq e junoon* all of these series dared to try something different then the typical dragged storylines. So job well done❤
Tan man neelo nil the magic of mustafa afridi n saifi hassan extremely beautifully translated by every character. Thoroughly enjoyed 1st episode. Looking forward ❤to it
FARAAR: is a refreshing change from typical family dramas. The story is compelling, the direction is brilliant, and everyone has done a great job so far. Hope it stays this way!
This trilogy by Sultana Siddique focusing on sensitive issues like mob lynching is truly remarkable. It's impressive that she chose to create a series specifically about mob lynching and it will always hold a special place. Sehar and Shuja have great chemistry. But the most shocking part was the sexual abuse of Sonu's friend (I don't remember his name). I was not expecting that. I thought Saleem Mairaj would beat him or scare him. Sehar as Rabi is fantastic she and Danaeer are definitely my top picks among the younger actors.

"Hasan's dance and Amina's 'Wellein' were just absolutely hilarious!😂😂 I don't watch dramas; I only watchyour reviews to just to listen to your entertaining comments!"❤❤
Amna is partly correct, alcohol is used partly to warm up, but that alone is not enough. Women wear woolen skirts and leggings during winters. People generally layer up as that keeps you warm too, like clothing with wind breakers and warm woolen sweaters and coats. Btw giving brandy to children was somewhat common in Pakistan in the past. Both my mum and dad were given a tiny bit of brandy during the coldest winter days.
lov frm India.🇮🇳...this is for Amna..I am gravitated towards ds channel jst to get the glimpses of uh ....u r one such eloquent nd silver-tongued person i hv ever come across this whole virtual world...keep it up girlyyy...also admire your fashion sense....
Yes Ghair has so many typical characters and flaws but it is fast and keeps a grip on the narrative to keep the veiwers hooked. The roasting is really fun too.
The pace of Faraar needs to be increased or it will dip like Duniya Pur. I am waiting for the characters from different tracks, to come together to make their escape. The actual story would begin from there. Till now, with the exception of Batisht, others show no consequences leading to that development. In fact, the other tracks were hardly shown in the last two episodes.
I think amna over appericiating Faraar , because Faraar is also slow paced like SMD specifically scenes of Girl & her father are too preachy & slow paced boring
For Jafaa, I completely agree with what Hasan pointed out and reviewed, the drama was going so well but now it’s really disappointing…Faraar is going well so far and Hamza, Ahmed, Nadia Jamil all are doing wonderful job as expected for Tan Man Neel o Neel, I must say it’s a very good effort related to social awareness! I literally had goosebumps after watching the first episode 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
loved todays intro more than the review yar, maza agaya hahahha. was having a bad day bec im sick and have an exam tomorrow, mood acha krdia apne. ps guys pls pray for my exam
Farar: pace has gone down….my question is why isn’t anyone pointing out at the lack of writing in Baatish track. No doubt the performances are very real but I can’t digest that Hamadan sahab has no idea what Baatish does for living?? Common he lives in the same neighborhood…. A person belonging to. Certain party and visiting the party’s office in daylight and Hamdani sahab thinking of marrying his daughter off to him!! And Sadia wearing big jhumka in the house doesn’t make any sense 😮
Fasih thinks that Batish killed Jimmy because Hamdani Sahab asked him to do so because in the cctv he sees Batish having a conversation with Hamdani Sahab and then killing Jimmy afterwards. There is no sound of the footage so Fasih actually doesn’t know that Batish just fixed Hamdani Sahab’s scooter
Actually KMKT one also made no sense and logic. Real professional world doesnt work on sympathies and feelings like most Farhat Ishtiaq's delulu worlds work. No one makes you 50-50 partner when you have absolutely zero experience professional experience as Game Developer working at actual Game Studio! The entire Mustafa rags to riches track was rushed, farfetched and superficial. This why you as critics and reviewers should stay objective and call out every thing equally so later you dont risk coming across as a hypocrite and having to swiftly change the subject! In Succession, Logan Roy literally made his children work like grunts instead of giving the biggest media company in a silver platter and thats why its hailed as one the greatest of all fictions and writings ever!
@hassan I can totally relate with you. I have been suffering from tinnitus from past few years though it’s under control but in winters I cannot sleep without turning on the fan because the buzzing sound in ears really gets annoying. Btw SH please start with beyond borders again
32:10 Ghair mein abhi Omer Shehzad ki entry hona baki hai. I think he's gonna be Wafa's boss Sultan Tirmizi. He's in the OST Fir ho jaege 3 boys & 3 girls.
Watch Conclave movie, an actual classy suspense, mystery thriller with breath-taking visuals, cinematography and acting. Something that PTV can surely learn from! Since they dont even have the writers to even write such genres. Its generating quite an Oscar buzz too. Much better than Behind Her Eyes and Muqadar ka Sikander.
Jafaa: I honestly don't mind Andaleeb shown as shallow. There are plenty of such women in real life who don't think of motherhood so deeply, are frivolous, and will think about their baby with a lot of emotion at one time but will totally forget about him/her the next second. She is too immature to handle motherhood in all seriousness. The problem is that we are being shown this as a contrast to Numair doubting her. It's like being asked to pick the lesser of two evils. What Numair did was terrible but the narrative is being twisted in such a way that the most progressive and feministic person would recommend Andaleeb to forget it and move on. That is truly problematic!
TMNON: Honestly expected the drama to be good, but not THIS GOOD. I loved so many things in the first episodes. Sehar's accent and performance, love it. The scene of the parents of rabi, oh my god this thing was handled and written so beautifully. The issue of male r@pe being discussed, the mother-daughter duo, the light conversations bw taya tayi. Beautifully written. Looking forward to seeing how the story proceeds.
Jafa: o bhai why did she go through all that computer science degree leni hay torture when she had to do the parlr wala kaam that she doesnt even like.. 🤦🏽♀️ ye hy dikha dete thay k she got a job in her field
The only thing that bothers me while watching Ghair is performance of Adeel Hussain. Can't believe this is the same person who has acted in dramas like Jackson Heights, Maat, Shaaq, Mohabbat Subh ka Sitara, etc. Really don't care about the rest, it's a horrible drama.
That unnamed actor btw is Fawad Khan, who recently debuted his fake bateesi on his birthday post which people took notice. 😅 Amna be brave yaar. I'm sure ur friend wont mind, after all you are just giving "constructive feedback" like u do for any other actors/actresses. Btw I never knew Fawad Khan to be that insecure about his appearances but I guess thats a downside when your entire life had been you or the people surrounding u mostly selling ur "physical appearances and image". You'd do anything to maintain that image and outside appearance.
For some industry kids, there are tons of directors ready to give them a chance, saying, "Isme bohot potential hai." But when it comes to outsiders, the same directors won’t even consider them, not even for a small side role. So yeah, it’s all about opportunities, which many outsiders don’t get.
1:12:49 oh AMNA YOU NAILED THW TMNN REVIEW I thought I was the only one! I kept thinking the same. If there was a girl there, she wouldn't be able to get up and talk even. I was in a bit doubt that how can someone who's just raped, get up & smile in front of his friends. But the explanation given by amna, I LOVED IT!
Muqaddar ka Sikander: I agree it was a good story but the ending was disappointing. Enjoyed the movie but the ending changed my opinion. A bad attempt at trying to create a surprising twist of plot. Also kinda made the loop holes more visible which a great twist of plot could have hidden.

So ture .... I started watching this, but now I regret it ....
Exactly

TMNN showed that sexual harassment and assault is about power and humiliation and not what we recently heard in another pile of 💩 drama being aired where the caveman writer dropped a pearl(🤢) of wisdom that no affair or gunnah can happen without the woman's permission 😳.
Loved the first episode. Every character is engaging. I feel that even the cousin was previously assaulted by the bad man. Every actor has done a brilliant job. Please dont ruin it by stretching with nonsense plot twists.

Hasan always notices things I also notice. Today, it was the stairs and the old woman's granddaughter.
Yes i've seen SIKANDAR KA MUQADAR. good watch...but expected end..
Farar ki pace bs theak thi es bar..acting zaberdest...
Mr Hassan LISTENS AND HE JUDGES TOO 😅
Aamna, I finally found a point where you and I are different. I love winters, and only ever attend winter weddings.
I love your intro part, coz i usually don't watch dramas, so there's no point. But love to watch you guys anyway. ❤
Make a year starter video also I want to start my year with your video.
For some industry kids, there are tons of directors ready to give them a chance, saying, "Isme bohot potential hai." But when it comes to outsiders, the same directors won’t even consider them, not even for a small side role. So yeah, it’s all about opportunities, which many outsiders don’t get.
Ghair review was hilarious
Tan man neelo o neel zabrdast.bht enjoyable ❤❤
1:12:49 oh AMNA YOU NAILED THW TMNN REVIEW I thought I was the only one! I kept thinking the same. If there was a girl there, she wouldn't be able to get up and talk even. I was in a bit doubt that how can someone who's just raped, get up & smile in front of his friends. But the explanation given by amna, I LOVED IT!
TV channels should add trigger warnings for sensitive scenes/issues with helpline numbers of charities for people to seek help.
There are invisible thermals in western. I saw them first time and I was shocked it gives an illusion of stockings but inside it has warm thick layer.
Othe other person who is Sikandar is Avinash Tiwary who first time appear in Bulbbul Netflix movie
Epic review of Jafa😂
OMG Aamna exactly we used to live in Gilgit long time ago and our parents used to give us brandy drops.
Exactly goray drink and they don't feel cold plus they're used to cold weather
