I am wondering if BABYMONS7ER is the 7 member group and BABYMONSTER the 5 member core with BAEMON being another sub-group like he was talking about? This announcement was recorded most likely last year right after they recorded the 'Last Evaluation.' The ages of Ahyeon, Ruka, Chiquita, and Asa is off by one year. The selection of the members were done most likely in June 2022 since we know that the 'Last Evaluation' was recorded in April - May 2022.
The way that this was presented made me feel like we were wrong about the 7 member group. It would make sense if they were still at the YG building if Yang Hyun Suk was going to place Rora and Asa in other groups. But at least we do get a 7 member group and congratulations to all 7 members for making it.

I'm so happy with this choice. Of course it can work, if YG uses them each in a good way, in the parts that suit them. Not every song needs to have equal line distribution, that would be predictable and boring. But across an album and their discography each can shine in the parts that they're suited to. With this number there is more scope for variety and creativity, experimentation, subunit projects... I cannot wait! As long as YG uses their individual skills and vibes to their fullest potential. There's so much opportunity to get really creative with these girls together. Stray Kids does this really well with 8 members, so I don't see why YG can't do the same for these girls. Was a very emotional video, teared up when that T turned to 7 in BABYMONS7ER 🥹✨🎉
