Hello, This is Darion again :). The more I watch your videos the more I want to see more. I really enjoyed this video as well. The drone shots were amazing. I have never been to the Burg Hohen Zollern castle but I will try to make it there in a few weeks when I travel to Germany. BTW, Valerie, it looks like you were looking for "Romeo" at the 4:41 mark lol. I love going to the Heidelburg castle and yes that wine barrel is awesome for sure. Dd, you go on top of the big wine barrel? Also on my list is to stay at the Hotel Schonburg. How did you like it? ahhh, I can't wait for my trip to Germany. :) :)

Burg Hohenzollern is a 19th century palace on the site of a medieval castle. Its historical relevance arises from the fact that the dynasty of the kings of Prussia is located here, which later became emperor of Germany. The castle is still owned by this family.
Nice to see that you ran out of breath on the ascent as I did back then. 😉
    Waiting for part two ...

Great video of your Castle Road Trip across Germany.
You have some of the most beautiful castles on list we have in Germany. In my opinion the best German "Castle" is Burg Eltz. It is not fake like Neuschwanstein and is inhabited by the same family for centuries without beeing destroyed in any war or left alone to get ruined by time. Also the scenery around is astonishing and like painted to accentuate this pretty castle.
I hope you enjoy your trip and share your experiences further with us.

In Bacharach right next to your Hotel in Oberwesel there is a youth hostel in Castel “Stahleck”. You can stay there as adults, too and its way cheaper . Cheers

8:20 That's just the way German beds look like, a seperate blanket for each person. You might fold it a little different, but it's perfectly fine.

The folded duvet is a made bed in Germany.

Would you ever consider doing a video on how you plan all your trips. From military perspective or not. But like how you decide where to go ( word of mouth or google?) Is language a big issues when trying to pre plan for needing tickets or parking passes. That kind of stuff

You shouldn't leave out the Wartburg in Thuringia because of its importance for Germany and the world.
