Previous international champion and runner ups should get an additional slot in wildcard, not these participant fillers that won't make it out the group stage. It's absurd how a team as strong as RSG PH and Indonesia's soon-to-be 3rd placer won't be competing internationally. All of them would've been a playoff contender.

you have NA players that just text each other "hey let's make a team and join worlds". i bet there are amateur PH and ID teams that can run circles around any NA team. But they don't have the option of just joining a world qualifier tournament whenever they feel like it because of how gated all MPL SEA leagues can get. The buy in alone will render the prize money irrelevant.
