Great video. I was able to repair my back window assembly and motor and with your help. Bought the part on Amazon from your link. Thank you, I could not have done this without your video. Also, saved me a lot of money. God Bless You.
Extremely helpful. Everything at home worked just as easy as in the video. If anyone doesn't already have the pry tool you can use a thick/stiff putty knife to pop out the plastic clips and a thin flat blade screwdriver to take off the small cover and the door lock button.
Thanks a lot for this video. The left rear window of my 2013 Tahoe came down and sure enough, it was a broken regulator. I followed the instructions in your video and replaced it today and now it's back working like a charm. A very helpful and detailed video indeed.
@@aG-lc6su You can get online on eBay. You can buy an OEM part not necessarily the original. Just make sure it meets the specific part number or the specific car model. You can always message the seller to make sure before ordering. I live in Qatar and there is a seller in the industrial area specialized in OEM parts for American cars.
Great step by step video! A couple of minor details - on my Yukon (short wheel base not the XL) there is only one bolt under the door pull at the middle of the door, and pulling the door panel from the door was nowhere near as easy as it looks in the video- it took a lot of prying, sliding around the edge with a trim tool and pulling to get it to pop off. Once it was apart getting things back in place was quite easy. (A note to the absent minded like me, it helps to reconnect the power harness to the window motor - testing before buttoning everything up was helpful. I had to come back to the video to see if I missed anything. I had only plugged in the harness to the switch. Duh,) On a humorous note it was not until today after many attempts to get this rear window to go down all the way that I realized that on the short wheelbase Yukon it only goes down about halfway because of the wheel well cutout in the door. I've only had the car for 3 1/2 years. 🙄
Thank you for the clear and complete instructions. Like the others, the drivers side rear window came down with a bang, the motor turns but the cable popped out of the regulator. I'm guessing if I managed to reassemble it, it would only pop out again.
Great video…but you you might want to add how to detached the window switch from the connector. I had to look up another video so I didn’t break it…but I’m an idiot. Thanks
I would guess you have one of 3 problems. 1. obstruction in the track... if this is the case you must find and clear the obstruction because a new motor/regulator would have the same problem. 2. regulator slide assembly is not holding the window correctly... window is mis-aligned where clamped. 3. The the cable around the pulley on the end of the motor has jumped across to an incorrect position. Chances are it will do it again. Replace assembly recommended.
My windows go up and down properly. The issue I'm having is my windows rattle when I'm driving over bumps and they're partially rolled down. Any suggestions? Thx
The plastic broke on my 2008 window regulator. What a shame the whole thing has to be replaced because of this. i.imgur.com/Hd926WT.jpg Also, anyone got any torque specs on any of these bolts?
You’re a lifesaver. I live in a cold climate with young children, so to fix my truck by using your tutorial is truly a blessing. Thank you!!!

Where did you buy the regulator

@@ismaelbonal6537 how much did you buy the regulator for, I live in Oman
@@amalroshan6563 Here in Doha it cost me around 250 QAR which is around 25 Omani Royals (I think).
@@ismaelbonal6537 thanks a lot sir,
Did you do the work by yourself ?
This is the best video on the topic. Thank you.

QUESTION: CAN THE WINDOW BE ADJUSTED IF it WORKS? Mine will move up and down, but will not close completely.

My regulator cable is broken …
Where can i find it ? Thank you .
I didn't remove the cable because I couldn't. I was able to move the panel out of the way to do the repairs.

Hey but I plugged in the new window motor for the test and it doesn’t work either
What if I don’t hear the motor?
I installed the motor but it won’t work 🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️😤
Easy enough
replaced the regulator now the window won’t go up or down
If my window won’t come down what do I do ?
Anyway to just get the window to stay up with fixing it? 😂 im cheap
The wheels clean I like them but ..that truck ugly as hell

Looked at your photo - mine was broken in exactly the same place.
