This seriously made me cry. My husband is 83 and my sister lives with me who is 78. I’m 68. There are days I’m losing it. There is no good job girl! In my life. I cook clean , mow the yard , take care of the dog my husband wanted, take care of the car, take them to and from doctors appointments, and keep there meds straight, that’s really hard. carry off the trash, I live out of the city limits. And try to take care of myself. Some days are really hard ❤❤❤❤❤
I listen to videos like yours, clutterbug and minimal mom when I'm cleaning. Helps me get motivated when I dont feel like doing anything. 😂 Then I get on a roll and deep clean for 5 hours straight without realizing it.
I quit following people that make their own soap, milk their own cows, have a bunch of kids they home school; while I appreciate what they do, I realized they make me feel bad about myself. I have to prioritize me and who I am. That’s not who I am, I am getting to be okay with that.
I hear you. We had a hobby farm growing up before it was "cool," so I learned firsthand how much hard work it is to keep animals and grow your own food. No thanks. I am so happy to live in a suburb and not have any animals aside from 2 cats😅
Thanks for being an authentic influencer! Your genuineness comes through, and your content is so encouraging, and entertaining! So much good advice in every video!
I am usually 100% on board with your use of expired food but the Rice Krispies would have been in the trash for me. Thanks for being authentic and honest, love your content
I would avoid eating something that smelled rancid. There’s a reason that we have noses even if you covered up it doesn’t mean that it can’t make you sick.
Last year, Hulu’s promo price was applicable to new customers AND existing customers that hadn’t had an active subscription for at least 30 days. Cancel your existing subscriptions now (regardless of price) so that you’ll possibly qualify for Black Friday promos this year
I am starting over ! I had 3 strokes and surgery for a large throat mass . My mind is not great . I am thankful for your videos. I am trying to learn how I grocery shop ! It’s crazy and depressing. Thank you for all your hard work !! God bless !
There’s an old British TV comedy where the persnickety wife makes a big effort to set her table for entertaining guests, and she asks her husband what he thinks. When his response is underwhelming, her neighbor tells the husband to try again, “But this time, give her a little stagger.” Hubby does so, gushes over the beautiful table, and wife is satisfied. To this day, whenever I or my husband wants the other to applaud something we’ve done, we say, “I want a little stagger.” Very gratifying!!
So glad you included investing…being frugal is one thing but if your money saved isn’t working for you then you’re missing a key component to building real money. Wish i learned that younger. ❤
Christine you and your family have been such a great light for me as well as others. A friend you didn't know you needed. I am learning so much from you about living. I am here for the food and much more!
To add to the Add A Skill-think about ways you can branch out on your degree/licenses that you already have. I have a Masters degree and license in Social Work. A co-worker of my husband needed help studying for her Bachelor license. I really enjoyed doing that with her! Now I help a couple of people practice and study for their licensure : ) im not getting rich off of it but it has helped me pay down my debt way quicker.
When I get paid, I go ahead and enter into my check register app every bill that is being paid out of that check. This way I know how much is left for groceries, savings, etc. It's the way I got my finances under control. I also check my bank balance every single day to make sure everything matches. So simple and it only takes a few minutes to do.
You will always be at the top of my list because your channel makes me feel like I can run my home better. I appreciate your authenticity and your honesty and your genuine kindness. 😀

Thanks for this video Christine. I love your channel and I never comment but I just wanted to tell you I really needed to hear the part about the too much social media not being grateful and not giving yourself a pat on the back. I’m guilty of that a lot. Kinda had tears in my eyes listening to that. And you’re so right. Anyway keep doing what you’re doing your videos make me so happy, I really admire and love your energy and positivity. You’re inspiring. Keep being you! God bless ❤

I delete all my socials, INCLUDING youtube every once in a while whenever i feel overwhelemed.. and i become SO DANG PRODUCTIVE! Walking every day is a must. Even 15 minutes on a super busy day but usually I like to walk closer to an hour even if it’s broken up in smaller chunks.
Dammit Christine you made me cry with that sahm part. I work hard on the house and childcare everyday but my work is constantly getting undone, so it's hard to acknowledge I've done anything.
Try writing a list and checking things off as you go through the day. Then you can SEE all the things you DID, on paper, anyway.... even if the house doesn't look like it. You can go to bed saying, the kids are safe and fed. I did a lot today.
Christine, thank you: this is one of the BEST video you have ever done! I was cheering during your "delegate" points about letting people do their job, laughing out loud at the story of the rancid rice Krispies, and all the Princess Bride clips....absolute gold! 😂🙌
That was a lesson I had to learn… Be thankful my husband is helping me, disregard that he’s doing it differently than I would do it❤ July 1. I love watching your videos! Growing up, we just didn’t have money for anything extra. When I got married young and then had 4 kids, we made sacrifices for me to stay home. We didn’t call it living frugal but we just lived within our means and budgeted to have the extras. And 40 years later, my kids are doing the same thing. People learn by example. Thanks for putting it out there and being real. Oh, and we have always made our bed every day so that at least one thing is accomplished for the day.
According to my google news on my phone there is a new recall daily, how does anyone keep up with it??? Most of the time by the time I hear about it I would have already eaten it.

My shopping and eating habits have changed a BUNCH since Covid. Pre-Covid, we’d eat out probably 3-4 meals a week. When I’d grocery shop, I’d never have a list and just “wing it”. Now, we eat out maybe once every 3 weeks and I NEVER go grocery shopping without loading up my e-coupons and a list based on meals I’m making that week. We’ve saved at least $750/month.
Love your content! So glad i found this because i was needing help on learning budgeting and etc and also trying to save for a car. appreciate it so much!
To be fair Christine, you did have a set back earlier this year in training due to your finger cut. I think your 8 min is totally achievable. Love you darlin, you are one of my faves on TH-cam. I also love A to Zen, Marissa is amazing like you are. Love from Canada
I started an eggy bank. A piggy bank but for eggs. Why? Well here in south Australia, I’m my local area and even my mums, finding eggs at our local coles or woolies or other local shops, it’s hard. My local woolies (Woolworths/ Australian), “has” 30 eggs for $17.20. So I put that away each fortnight so then I have money for my chicken feed. Yes we have had chickens since January and has saved so much money. Also the headache of trying to get eggs. I even give them out to family. We don’t eat them as quick as other family members do.
That teal color looks so pretty on you. Green is your color!! Also for what it’s worth I love your channel and I feel inspired by you, I want to stop being a spender and do better. I’m doing better compared to me but man do I have a way to go. I love how much sense you have and have had while being young.
Great video today! I sometimes get lost in the feed and need to take a step back, live my life for awhile. It’s actually a pretty great life! Thank you for sharing today!!
Eww rancid rice crispies gross!! Thanks for the video. Working on many of these things already and i will be adding a few things. Currently unemployed and trying to get myself together, if there is such a thingm😂
I lowered my Spotify membership, canceled my gym membership, & a couple others I wasn’t using. I’ve been walking my daughter to & from school instead of driving her. I’ve had a ton of things I needed costumes for, so I just used what I had instead of picking a costume I needed to buy all new things for.

I’m only on FB & Instagram due to 2 groups that I ❤ other than them I’m not on. I dropped several TH-cam channels b/c I fake they are. Thank you for being so real😊
Also, make sure you put your dry goods in vacuum sealed containers or put in freezer for two weeks before putting in your pantry. I learned the hard way and had to throw out about $800 worth of flour, cereal, rice, and other items due to pantry moths.
Used your discount code for Jocko. Got 25% off and free shipping. Need more protein and cannot stand the popular chalky drinks. Hope Jocko tastes better.
I don’t have social media except from TH-cam but I was wondering if you have a TH-cam channel dedicated to fitness, workouts, etc? I have 4 kids too and I cannot make it to a gym. By the time I have the toddler twins dressed and ready to go, I’m ready to take a nap 😂 I have a Peleton bike, tread and rower at the house as well as dumbells, body pump bar, etc. But I’m often so uninspired 😅

Can I start with as low as $1,000?
I think I'll get those proteins soon, I need those.
Just googled the Grand Targhee trail race! That is awesome! Maybe I’ll give it a go in 2025! 🏃🏼♀️
Thanks Christine!😊
I’m only on FB & Instagram due to 2 groups that I ❤ other than them I’m not on. I dropped several TH-cam channels b/c I fake they are. Thank you for being so real😊
🇨🇦What a wonderful, realistic, encouraging video. Thank you! Wow!
Thanks so much!
Also, make sure you put your dry goods in vacuum sealed containers or put in freezer for two weeks before putting in your pantry. I learned the hard way and had to throw out about $800 worth of flour, cereal, rice, and other items due to pantry moths.
My husband and I ditched social media 5 years ago, best decision we have ever made!
How are you watching this on TH-cam if you don’t have social media? TH-cam is social media.
@@dawnt5587 On my desktop - we have no Fakebook, MeWe, tiktok, instagram, non of those types of apps
TH-cam is social media lol
@@dawnt5587TH-cam, nope, fb and ig are social media not TH-cam
I love your silver necklaces, but where is the butterfly?
Used your discount code for Jocko. Got 25% off and free shipping. Need more protein and cannot stand the popular chalky drinks. Hope Jocko tastes better.
Another great video, thank you ❤
You did what with the old rice crispy cereal? 😱 NO way!
You make me happy!!
Love your videos and honesty
I only watch channels, such as yours, that teach me things.
I think she does some fitness stuff on Christine Unfiltered but it's not a workout channel.
I don't want to make decisions. I want cookies AND brownies and Gilmore Girls AND Friends. lol
LOL, Love that attitude! ;)
Audiobook suggestion if you like true stories...The Ride of Her Life: The True Story of a Woman, Her Horse, and Their Last-Chance Journey Across America
Book by Elizabeth Letts. Enjoyed this one very much while cleaning out closets!
You are upsetting me!! (J/k) My husband happened to be up here when you said I couldn't complain about his method of folding towels and chopping onions! And then going on a walk? I think he might start following you! hahaha 🤣
