It appears that you are using 3-ply embroidery floss. The embroidery floss (at least here in the US) comes as 6-ply, and I was taughter to split it into two strands of 3. Could you tell me what you are using? 3 or 6-ply? Thank you!

Oh, I understand you totally, I also have a lot of projects in the process and it's a bit frustrating to see them unfinished. I guess to be advanced in a craft is not enough, there must be a structure and motivation to take the time to work on those projects.
