Unfortunately, this mare will not live as long as the fluffies ones that have legs. Even under good care and with a loving family, pillow-fluffies eventually fall into depression and catatonia. For fluffies ponies, cutting off their legs is the worst thing in the world, worse than forever sleeping.

I think the comic went: Red shirt girl (Puffy's previous owner here) notices a woman leaving an animal hospital while holding a baby female alicorn. Red shirt introduces herself as a breeder and asks the woman if she would like to trade the alicorn for one of her foals, showing a picture of a pillowed Puffy on her phone. The woman states that the alicorn would be of no use to red shirt. Red shirt asks "why," to which the woman shows the alicorn's stitched up lower belly, proclaiming that she had just been spayed. Last panel shows red shirt clutching her chest on a gurney as the woman and a couple paramedics try to rush her to the hospital. So, yes to your theory, but with a mare instead and she just couldn't fathom someone choosing to be a responsible pet owner over potential profit.
Apparently, she encountered an owner who had an alicorn fluffy, and we tried to buy it she was told that they were neutered. She got a heart attack for that reason.
i think that kid might be autistic, what gives me this thought is that he doesn't talk much, doesn't like loud noises and formed a close bond with puffy, also love how the kid was feeding puffy his broccoli XD
Instead of “HugBox” I think this is its own kind of “box” like “LoveBox” since fluffies who are abused are loved by the owners because the owners like abusing them, after they get away from the abusers the fluffy is met with a Hugboxer but the trauma is still there.
