“I can stay at a distance just wait for my subject.” I do street photography and use mostly the 35 and 50mm field of view. 28mm is too wide for me as I’m forced to get very close to my subjects.
Recently I’ve been using the 90mm lens. I live in Seattle and there are very few people on the streets following Covid. As a result I go to the Pike street market where there a lot of people. I now do candid portraits. The 90mm lens is a good choice for this work. I also bring the X100VI along with the TCL for more conventional street photography imagAges.

Nice video! I've been using the 90mm f2 paired with the 18mm 1.4. l also own the 33mm f1.4, but I might end-up selling it. A "2 lenses only" set-up is working much better for me.

Cheers Paulo, thanks for stopping by the channel! I agree on the 2 lenses. Simplifying makes it more enjoyable. Enjoy making cool memories, and ABC - always bring camera!

I’ve been saying this about the 90 F2 for years, most photographers just scoff and say- no 28 mm!
I’ve been getting really great shots for years with the 90 F2. The real trick is getting the foreground and background out of focus and your subject in focus.

100% - Takes a bit of time getting used to, and I like it more and more. Such a great kit! Ill be sure to add back and foreground elements and have that in mind for this weeks street session. Cheers for watching!

I have used a 135mm 1.8 Lens for full frame Cameras, it is ok for some kind of street photography, but often it is a bit too long focal length, my most used Lenses for street photography is from 21mm to 85mm full frame Lenses. But some times I have used 14mm and/or 135mm. I use two Cameras, one mounted with a wide angle Lens and an other mounted with a short tele Lens.

Nice - yeah it takes time getting used to for sure. Really like it as a supplement to my usual street lens (23mm).

I don't understand why so many people don't use the viewfinder especially when longer lenses are used.

Its a subjective thing I guess?! I like the vf for longer lenses like this, but the screen more when im with my 23mm.

@@DanielBryn If you are steady on hand like a gunner it works but not for an old man like me. I'm not here to complain, we all do what we want. I can recommend Porto i Portugal where I can wander all day without getting bored with my camera. Have a good time.

You need to add depth somehow to the shots. Try to place some elements in the foreground, otherwise everything looks so flat and honestly boring.

Working on it - big sucker for those shadows, and still getting used to this lens.
