R.I.P Gwent, there has never been a CCG as colorful, diverse, and unique as gwent. From the cosmetics, to the card arts, to the leader abilities. This game oozes quality.
If the game is good, it will be played, even after they stop adding content. Gwent is gonna have a small core playerbase for years i think. People are playing Melee, Brood war, people played AOE2 for years with no new content.
@@nimascolari1508 You just contradicted yourself, long waiting times is what defines a dead game, stopping content support is a factor too for many. I tried to queue for a match at this hour on rank 3 for 10 minutes now, nobody's playing.
I hope they add more insanity, craziness, mechanics, and life, e.g a portal card that lets you summon a card from another board if that other person accepts the trade

I wish to thank the entire Gwent team (present and past) for the amazing experience and probably my favorite game. Can't say i'm very optimistic about the future of Gwent, in any case i'll be playing at least for now. Holding my fingers crossed for a brighter future for Gwent or even Gwent 2 after Witcher 4.

Not all things have to come to an end, don't be fooled. In this case someone really powerful decided to cut down a perfect game to make space for mediocre. Let it be Marvel Snap that many are playing now. Everywhere in the media they are trying to feed people with horrible quality - movies, games, books, you name it. You need to be really careful to choose quality content, not a fast food mediocre product. Gwent is a great game and it wasn't only a game, it was a community and this community has shrunk. It is such a shame that it came to this and it coud have been avoided if there were people that would truly care about others rather than only money and Gwent had a potential.
Gwent is my favourite game of all time - thank you to everyone who is or was part of the team! You gave us something truly special with this gem of a game.

Same. I don’t get why people act like it’s dying. As long as people don’t abuse the voting system, we can make the game better than ever before and make it an even playing field for many new decks to be born and competitive!
I'm really happy to see the system for voting, it seems really well thought out and dynamic. It will be interesting having the community make changes and see how the game evolves over time, it also gives me incentive to get in a regular number of games even if I don't focus much on getting into pro rank anymore. I realize that things are probably on rails at this point but I had a question - was it considered to be able to vote on either the number of leader charges for leaders that have that or to be able to change the amount of damage/ boost/ profit for specials that have a very identifiable main value that they offer? Hypothetically these could be done without a major change to the interface by letting them be voted on in the power change portion of the voting system. I can imagine that something like increasing triss meteor showers damage or line of credits profit would be another really powerful way to change the meta. Also in the past adding an extra charge or removing a charge from different leaders has made gigantic changes to the meta. Totally understandable if that is not on the table but it doesn't hurt to ask. Either way thanks for everything and for this super generous way to make sure that the game doesn't get stale for a long time to come!

I disagreed with a lot of the changes and the direction they were taking the game in, but the passion and love you guys you showed both the game and its fanbase cannot be denied. And balance aside you did create one of the most intriguing and creative card games of all time, with visual art and music among the very best as well. Another thing I’d like to give praise to is Thronebreaker, it’s one of the best and most underrated “little” games I’ve ever played, it’s a crying shame we will never get another of its kind (and no, Rogue Mage didn’t even come close).
I am feeling so sad at this moment. There was so many things to do so many characters to be added to the game, so many cards to rework. I am nothing but sadness. Thanks for all the support you guys gave us. I hope for better future for this game. Maybe I am bit sentimental now but that's fine.
Been obsessed with gwent ever since i played the witcher 3 version, sunk countless hours into multiplayer and loved every second of it. Thank you for lovely memories CDPR and how about a round of gwent ;)
I did enjoy GWENT when I had the "right" deck ... sadly that wasn't all the time. Too many players watched YT, so everyone had the "right" deck, ... T'was my favorite card game for sure for a while. I wonder how long it will last now.

What about Gwent on MacOS Sonoma 14.0? The game is not working properly, the mouse indicating is able to to hovering over stuff, but we can't click on anything. This is keeping me away from the game since I can't play on mobile.

Sad times. After 2600 hours of gameplay the end has sadly arrived. I will still keep playing the game, but with no new interesting abilities or changes, it's going to be a tough journey ahead. In addition to the power/provision system, I have a suggestion. How about introducing a smaller system that allows players to create and share their own custom cards, which could then be voted on. Limiting the final selection to a maximum of five new cards, while monitoring the selection process a little, probably wouldn't break the game. I'd rather see the game stay fresh, even if it means adding some potentially overpowered cards. Regardless, Gwent is without a doubt the best CCG in history. Thanks you for everything!
Is there a way to avoid specific votes that would straight kill the card? Like nerfing the power of Reavers. I don't like that deck, but I feel it unfair to kill the card just because of a bias
I actually wished that you guys would give a buff to the monster cards from the previous expansion, specially the wild hunt one which didn’t make much sense and could’ve really used a rework.
I will keep playing Gwent eventough it is soon going to be abandoned by its company. Firstly it is the coolest CG I've ever played, have found some good players and friendship that keeps growing via discord, and of course have spent money investing in premium journeys and cosmetics.
i love the condition on who gets to makes changes to the game. only those who play often or are in pro rank would understand the mechanics more and have better instincts on what changes needs to be made
Spent much of my 20s playing this. It was fun (sometimes). Themed decks and the Witcher flavor was really cool to me, and of course the artwork and music. I think I'm done with CCGs now.
Its a shame this is going down. Gwent lost me a few years back with the last big rework. I learned the game basically from scratch a second time because so much changed before and I wasn't in for a third time. Most streamers left at that time as well. Seems like this was the beginning of the end. Beta was a good time tho. So long and thanks thanks for all the fish ❤️
so u can create voting system but u cant create system in the deck building that lets u pick 4 cards from ur deck to start at the bottom. 20 min games and u insta lose cuz u draw all ur bricks nice design ( just add empty check box next to each card in the deck building and let us pick 4 to start at the bottom ,the game wont be competitive anymore lets us have fun from now on )
Uff so now we will wait for dead of a game series. Gwent was part of my life, great work will remained the greatest card game. Pity that you loved players and not money in this game industry. Maybe soon Gwent 2 with greedy monetization as all other card games.

Granted it wasnt the key focus, but as a developer, you muxt understand what players wants and Gwent has been at the center.
