In this video I go over the Creatures of Sonaria RECODE Update! The update is MASSIVE, and it honestly feels like a brand new game. A completely new beautiful map, enhanced survival mechanics, and HUGELY improved flying to name just 3, because there is so much more. I wanted to cover the biggest, most notable changes, but there is even more that I didn't cover in the video! (like breathe effects looking so much better)

This is definitely NOT my usual content, and this won't become my usual content, but I really wanted to try and make an "overview" video of Recode, because I felt like it really deserved it and I haven't seen anyone else make one of this type.

For the og's out there, tracks aren't new. They used to be in the game before they were removed shortly before the new sniffing mechanics. The old sniffing mechanics simply told you what was nearby and didn't have a line directing you towards it. However, when sniffing, tracks would either glow green or red depending on the diet of the creature that made them.
I remember tracks was in the game till they added aeries or ura. They also use to have scars on creatures but I we don't see that anymore

I’m so excited for the recode! Hopefully this will promote packs for smaller creatures, herds for the herbivores, and etc! The current cos is going to be a baby compared to this new one

I’m just glad someone has gone over and debunked everything new in the recode, hats off to Arby for putting in all this work to define what the recode will be like a little further. Also I’m pretty sure that you will soon be able to buy early access to the recode with robux or something, and that you also get a turtle looking species (I forgot it’s name started with an m and had some i’s and j’s in it )
Mijisuma, it's loosely based on coral.
Someone had to do it :') It was fun making it though. I did know you have to buy with robux, but I didn't want to bog people down with numbers.

I remember hearing about the recode YEARS ago. So glad it's finally coming to the public! I haven't played COS for years by now, but I'm DEFINATELY gonna start playing once the recode hits!

I think the most power might be held by the creatures who are both land and aquatic + can fly (im not sure if there are any like this i havent played in a while) but if a flood happens, the water can be their friend, if they need to be on land, theyve got it, if they need eyes in the skies, up they go!

literally so excited for this, the entire reason I don't even play it anymore is because of how easy it became to survive. People treated it like a glorified chat room.

i really like the recode! my most favorite thing about it is the aquatics getting slightly more to do, i love playing as aquatics and semi-aquatics because the ocean currently looks beautiful. in the recode it looks stunning too! i also love how when it floods, it's like a moment of recess for the aquatics as they can go everywhere because of the flood. im so excited for the recode and the first thing ill most likely do is get out my aquatics :3

I'm glad the game is finally changing this way, I quit playing a few months ago cuz the devs kept pushing out creatures instead of listening to the players (The players were suggesting that they put a hold on pumping out new creatures and focus on fixing bugs and making the game more focused on survival rather than a gacha.) I'll definitely check the game out again when the update comes out since I'm a sucker for survival games.

I just really hope the devs dont go with the previous track record. This looks amazing, but I am just concerned with how it will be handled down the line. It looks like a return to format and like the beta from Agartha. I cant wait!

Why is that bad? Thats how animal survival games are supposed to be. Animals will fight for territory, food and kill everything that is weak. Xd

naw i’d say it got WAY harder. I revisited legacy after about a year and it was straight up empty. Nothing eventful happened, i saw the occasional player but they ignored me and moved on. It was a freaking walking simulator at that point

@@dinosquadgaming6152 still, i remember playing in legacy and straight up NO ONE was ever outside of the oasis. You had like 20 people in the server total and at least 15 of them were in oasis. I almost never died and most of my deaths were to drowning, getting beached, natural disasters, starving, and dehydration.
Old aquatics: help, that anklebiter is so far away on land I could never possibly reach them.
New aquatics: flood time! Blood time! Let the seas run red with blood!
Edit: also new aquatics: oh? No flood? No problem, time to jump across the map and even to the floating island to say fuck you to that ptero specifically.

Why the recode is a masterpiece is cuz the game will actually feel like a real survival game, and not a gambling care bearing game! This looks so much more fun than the current game. Thanks to the devs for putting in all the effort to make us smile. And thank you arby for the update

True-ture, game is basically trading simulator atm cuz all species are roughly same, survival is just boring and kosing is kinda hard when there're uber-stakcs at oasis with Ardors and stuff.

The recode looks amazing! So much cleaner and more of a survival game. But, can you still cling to walls as a flier? Like when playing as a flier currently if you it a wall a certain way you can cling/hold on to it. I wonder if that’s still gonna be a feature…

Kosing was supposed to be for getting people out the oasis so you can definitely see kosing not be a thing unless the players somehow find a place to chill somehow
Good video! Your voice is nice and your editing is extremely clean and easy to follow. This is a very thorough overview of everything, you've gained a sub. A lot of these systems/features are taken directly from Beasts of Bermuda, I hope they do these features as good as BoB does!

In the recode, they should add whirlpools that sucks players in when it floods, dragging them to the bottom of the ocean, essentially drowning them

And the Last 4 are calls

Gosh I absolutely love the recode, it looks SO fun in comparison to what we have right now. I like that they're actually making the game more challenging and encourage people to travel more without being too harsh.

this recode really reminds me of path of titans, if anyone's familiar with it.
mainly due to the quests now being consisted in different biomes and water quality going down.

Originally stopped playing since gameplay was meh, felt more like an RP game with everyone staying in oasis, and it made for a very boring experience. Very hyped for the recode. Video did an amazing job promoting it as well.
Still a little concerned with mush gain since my friends and I don't have millions like everyone else to spend on anything and everything, so hopefully it gets a nice change.

This feels like a very good mixture of the current top 3 dinosaur survival game's (Path of Titans, Beasts of Bermuda, and The Isle) mechanics. I predict it'll lead to a much larger playerbase, and even maybe host some refugees from The Isle and other visitors from the previous two games as well.

I think Recode is gonna make a big difference to sonarian players, by which I mean it will make it more popular and realistic, the game is already good enough but recode is an amazing idea giving c.o.s more realism and shows the time and effort the creatures have put in it, it's simply amazing.
This is awesome as I started the game today and got a hang of it pretty fast I played every type of creature already and it wasn’t very newbie friendly I kept asking chat but one thing is it’s gonna be hard to hunt when everyone is playing gigantic Godzilla sized monsters but idk maybe they will starve and die in new update

Its really amazing how they are updating the game so it's much more fun and enjoyable to play but sometimes it gets really irritating when you play as a small/er creature and you're just trying to exist but whenever you get to the water / food sources (mainly the desert) there are ALWAYS some players camping with their huge monsters, killing you for literally no reason in one bite
i know theres nothing the developers can do about it, but i just wanted to mention it, cuz man...
also the changing weather, seasons and natural disasters are already in the game
