I hate that name so much because in early middle school most of the kids would either call me a virgin in a nasty flirtatious way (sometimes be weird physically) or ask if I was named after the state when they asked that they always said my name was ugly, dumb, and my parents named me that way because they didn't care enough for me to really think of a good name. It really hurt that because of something I couldn't necessarily change people treated me differently. On a lighter note I now go by Liz and I've come out to my to the people I care for as lesbian and everyone seems to accept me for who I am and not judge me over something as minuscule as my name. I think people at least at the age that I am now are much more mature about stupid stuff like that. 😊 (Thanks to all of you who read this far.
