- We get asked a lot, about how we keep our home in check with newfies! Besides the normal home upkeep we have found a few things that really help us keep our sanity! Comment below on your favorite tips for keeping your home clean!

Unfortunately, our Newf ate some Magic Erasers when she was a pup and got rather sick for a couple of days, so please keep your Magic Erasers where the dogs can't get to them!
Agree - Roomba and Magic Eraser are life savers in a Newf home!

I don’t know why I have never thought of magic erasers for the drooly walls! My boy Finley is a MAJOR drooler. He can even hit the ceiling with it on a good day. My girl isn’t as bad, but I am sure she is still partly responsible for the walls! Putting a Costco size package of magic erasers on my shopping list!

I don't own a Newfie (but I love that breed, as we had one when I was little), but we own a Samoyed. He's killed every vacuum we've ever owned. We have a vacuum graveyard in out basement. All wood and tile floors help, with area rugs. Swiffers, Oreck vacuum (removable roller brush inside, to easily clean all accumulated fur) and Shopvac. Sticky lint rollers all over the house.
I've owner a great variety of dog breeds over the years and my Samoyed's hair was by far the worst. It velcroed itself on everything!
I have smooth walls and used special wall paint which you can srub. I can clean them with a microfiber cloth and the colour stays on the walls! The dogs also have their own towels laying around the house to dry their mouths or the sofa. ( Ok, ok they also play with those ) .
Great ideas! Yes we have the dog towels lying all around the house! lol
I keep my Newfie's smell to a minimum by using Zoflora for pets. One cap full in a spray bottle filled with water is all you need. There's stacks on youtube about zoflora and it's uses. It's like Fabreeze only better as it kills 99.9% of bacteria and can be sprayed on surfaces and fabrics, etc, leaving everything clean and fresh smelling for hours. It has hundreds of uses, too, and because you dilute it a bottle of Zoflora lasts a long time. Thanks for all your tips. They're really helpful.
What do you use to keep his coat looking so pretty? Please tell me all the type of products you use!! I have Newfie too

Where do you buy the tables you put your Newfies on to groom and blow out?? What size is it too?
Walls:
Let it dry. Yeah, that’s kinda gross, but.....it just wipes off easily with a damp paper towel. If your paint is coming off, it wasn’t put on correctly. I can scrub mine with a scrubbing sponge with no issues.
Wet microfiber Towels also work well.
Floors:
We are 1/2 & 1/2 on the min floor. Simple broom once a day for the hardwood. Once a day with carpet Fresh and out Hoover bagged upright. (Tried the Dyson animal and it was useless.) We do have a roomba we run once a day. It does get full quickly and docks before it finishes.
Slobber:
Well, it’s a Newf. You just learn to live with it. Micro fiber towels are a must. Mine would never wear a bib. He’d shred it in seconds.
I sure wish mine was as well behaved as yours. Mine needs more socializing. He is a multiple time obedience failure. Still love him though!!
Quick note:
Remove slobber from car paint ASAP. It WILL etch the clear coat. I love on the south and the sun just bakes it into the paint. 😟

LOVE magic erasers and use them for just about everything, would've never thought of using them for drool though! Then again I've never dealt with drool ANNNND didnt know it could take paint off walls, so there ya go.
P.S. They are excellent for getting dirt/grease rings out of the washer tub/agitator for anyone who washes those type of uniforms on a regular basis
Do you use something to vacuum the furniture?
When you say they`re room , do the Newfies sleep in the cabinets behind you ? my Newfie will be here this fall.

I am trying to convince my parents to get a newfie. I have been watching tons of videos how to take care of them and all that stuff. The problem for me is the price of newfies. Does anyone know any good places to get them in Pennsylvania?
Has anyone tried vacuuming the dog itself with a long hose, and maybe a fluted nozzle? Our Landseer Need does not want a hair dryer near her, and doesn't like my vacuum idea, but somebody might have success.
How often do you usually have to clean drool? I really want a newfoundland but I am unsure about just how much they actually drool.
Alore Of Ironforge for some it’s constant... my black newf seems to work up a new drool every 10 minutes or so!
regarding diffusers, did you say air or oil? All i find are oil diffusers. Can you recommend a brand?
gmacker1 yes she meant essential oil diffusers like the VicTsing 300mL Essential Oil Diffuser at Amazon.

If you get a Newf get rid of all your carpets...they have not invented a vacum yet that can tolerate the strain of this kind of work.
I wanted to watch, but sound was deafening and awful.
