Happy Wednesday, everyone! So what do we think of this set? Am I being too harsh? It’s just not at all what I expected it to be. 😞 One thing I didn’t mention in the video is that the ponies aren’t a hard plastic, they’re more of a bendy rubber. Not like Polly rubber legs or anything 😂 but also not as sturdy as a typical MLP. You guys tell me what you think! Will you buy this set? Thanks for being here and have an awesome day! 💕💕
As a mini My Little Pony collector, I was bummed that they were doing these on a 1 inch scale. Generations 3 and 4 were on a 2 inch scale. I wasn't interested in Mini World Magic toys because I couldn't properly incorporate them into my older sets.
Yeah, I knew about these sets coming out but I immediately saw that I would not like them. Honestly for the last couple of years ( maybe the last 7 years) Hasbro has not put a lot of quality into their My Little Pony toys. They are still trying to ride on that high that was the G4 line (especially with the Friendship is Magic cartoon series which is amazing) but they hope the toys sell just because of the brand itself. The new 5th gen which this belongs to is disappointing all together. Yes, the pilot movie was good looking and the big styling size ponies I have are decent to good quality but with all the other sets they are super unimaginative. Slap a bunch of nonsence accessories in a pack with one pony of either super bad hair quality or no rooted hair at all and call it a playset. I'm not surprised about this compact being boring and poor quality.😅
It’s so disappointing! Just make a nice compact with a couple of good quality mini ponies. How hard is it? 😩 You’d think companies this big would put more thought into their products. They’ve had plenty of time to get this right.
Fair point! I guess I’m too used to vintage Polly where you can just open it and start playing. It’s what frustrates me a lot about newer Polly too, that there’s so much to set up. Maybe it just boils down to me being lazy. 😂 The MLP sets are really pretty though and I could definitely see how they’d display well! 💕
aw when i saw the announcements for these sets i was kind of exited, shame they are so poorly done. Maybe i'll get one if it goes on clearance at my work just because I like the characters. That being said I wouldn't really say mlp these days are known for "quality" products. They really started to go downhill the past couple years. The toys are getting smaller and smaller, with worse feeling plastic, and less variation in sculpts or even characters. Honestly the character bit is my biggest pet peeve. They used to have it so that there was a core set of characters that debuted in a pose and usually were the ones in the shows/books/commercials and then they'd reuse those poses in different color combinations and give them cute little names and stories and I'd build little worlds for them in my head. but now, mostly because of how much more popular the shows got, they just release the same characters over and over and over with little variation. The only exception to this is they'll do little like super mini blind bags that will have a bunch of random characters in them but they have the quality of something you'd get from a supermarket capsule toy machine yaknow? At least they made some poseable ones which is new and fun I liked that....
How disappointing. =( I don’t collect MLP, though I think the vintage ones are adorable! I guess I didn’t realize they had gone downhill so much over the years. I figured you couldn’t go wrong with a Polly/MLP mashup of sorts. Apparently you can. 😩
How did you Ever get the dangly bits on the balcony? The posts on them don’t fit into the holes. I’m a little disappointed that once you set it all up as best you can if you try to play with it it falls apart 😒
I’d try one, it wouldn’t fit. Flip it over, and that side might fit. Or it might just bend. Then I’d try another. You only see some of them stuck in places because that’s about all I could get to work. 😂
I just want to say the thing you said about my little pony being known for quality is not really true it may have been during g1 but things have gotten a lot worse sense then (if you don't know g1 is what collectors call the first iteration of my little pony)
Yeah, I’ve learned quite a bit about MLP since this video. If I could go back and take what I said out of the video, I would, because multiple people have now told me how wrong I was. 😂 I guess it’s a lot like Polly Pocket, or really any toy line that’s been around for a while. Quality has taken a serious hit. I don’t know why I thought MLP was any different, but you live and learn, I guess. 💕
This is the only new/this generation of MLP product I have, and it’s definitely no where near the quality of older ponies. I do have some new reboots of older ponies (Twinkle Eye and Earth ponies) and they’re good quality as far as I can tell. But yeah, it seems the consensus is that MLP quality has gone way down over the years. =(

I actually love these sets. They aren't as compact as polly sets, but they are more customizable and look cooler on display.

I'm waiting to see the Maretime bay playset 🙋🏻♀️
It does look cute! But I figure the photos are just deceiving me. 😂

I asked my little niece if she would like to have my little pony playset and she said no it looks boring 😆
😂😂 Smart girl! 💕

The Texture looks like from Lego.
A bit, yeah! Lego is definitely better quality though.
I'm Sorry that you wasted your money on this. 😟
You win some, you lose some, I guess. 💕
you
Me? =)
More like Mini World Tragic
😂 Sadly, yes.
the old my little pony was better. the new one sucks
