I think we will get a better idea of these QBs once full pads are on and we need to remember we may not have a full evaluation on Bo Nix until week 6-8. It took that long for Jordon Love to get comfortable after sitting for as long as he did a rookie QB could take a whole season.

Then we as fans put way too many expectations on a small sample size and when Lock didn't pan out all we did was criticise the guy. If the coaches feel Nix needs to sit let him sit. If they feel he's a week 1 starter so be it. We need to keep the expectations low, don't get to high or low we just need to evaluate this year. Should not go off wins and losses. We just need to know if the kid can play and give him at least 25 starts before coming to a conclusion about the guy. I hope he tears it up and we found our guy but for now it's just a new qb we have to watch and see how he pans out. She's likeable though I love his maturity I can say that about the kid. I think he's ready to work and prove it to himself he belongs in the NFL. We are due way overdue for a qb though feels like it's been forever lol. Stroud to me is a benchmark I'm going to use for a rookie qb. Stroud came in and was poised and made a lot of throws. He really turned that franchise around. So if Nix can give me about half or close to it I'll feel really good on year two. If not it's not the end of the world we just gotta hope year two clicks for Nix.
