When I was a teenager assembling scale model aircraft (mostly in the 1960s) there were too many different scales available. It was very difficult to imagine the relative sizes of these amazing machines. For the last 20 years I have been buying diecast and assembled scale models in various scales. I have a few in 1/32, more than that in 1/48, a LOT in 1/72, quite a few in 1/100, lots in 1/144 and a few dozen in 1/200 scale. I keep them in clear display boxes by scale to get a sense of size. Then there are my diecast ships, tanks, a few cars, movie merchandise, etc. I'm glad I started collecting 20 years ago. Prices would severely limit my purchases these days. My inner child is happy.
