I love your channel❤. Thanks for bringing us along. Yes please bring Indie next time❤
Absolute beautyfull spot! Thank you again for another Nice journey. Special to do it with your sister ❤
It’s been a very
Long time hearing frogs reminds me of my childhood.
There is something about that sound. It seems like after all the other noises of the day quieten, and it’s nice and still, that’s when the frogs start up. I find it really calming.
How fun to go camping with your sister. I assume she didnt want to be on video, but i would have loved to meet her.
Thanks, as always, Cathy for all the time and effort you go to, to bring us along with you. I’ve just finished my first camp in 30+ years and thank you for helping me back out there!
That's fantastic. Knowing I have encouraged someone to enjoy some time in the outdoors is the absolute best!! And I really appreciate the gift too. Thanks so much.
Top tip from Haze Outdoors. You can put dry socks on and then put plastic breadbags over them before putting in your wet boots. Cheap camp shoes!
Thank you so much for letting us come along on this one. The views certainly were stunning! Say hello to your sister, and thank her as well for letting us come along!
You are so welcome. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel. It is so appreciated.
G'day, Another great vid. Please thank your sister for allowing you to film this one, lots of people hate being filmed (Including me) so very much appreciate her for that.
Hello Cathy 👋
Vivian here. 😎
Another ENJOYABLE Vid ✅️
Wonderful Scenery 👍
As for the chatting part, I prefer it
That's 1 of the reasons I ❤
Matthew Posa & AB Camping. They both ❤ to talk.😉
Till then.✌️
Kisses 💋💋 sent to 'Indi💯
What a gorgeous place, listening to frogs and owels is the best too. Thanks Cathy !!
A tip I picked up for wet socks and boots: get small dry rocks and boil them, let them steam then put them in your socks; put the socks in your boots and they will start to dry. Thank you for my computer background for this winter, that lake is beautiful.
Interesting idea. I will keep that one up my sleeve (or sock, lol) for next time. Glad you enjoyed that lake, it was truly magical.
Stunning scenery, you did so well having a balance between filming and also being so thoughtful about your sister coming along to enjoy an awesome trip 🏕❄️
Just found you and super happy. As a woman it’s difficult to find TH-camrs who are women only campers. You’re amazing. Your footage is nice. Love your honesty. I’ve already learned a few tips and tricks. I’m definitely older than you but still enjoy camping so much. Again, thanks!! Gotta catch up now on all of your vids.
Thank you so much!! I am happy to be able to share my journeys with you. Cathy
What a magic spot. Scenery was magnificent. The snow was nice to see. Will be all gone soon. Look forward to the next one. Enjoy your walk out. ❤❤
Thanks so much. Yes the spring weather here is so changeable, you never know what you’ll get 😆 so I’m just enjoying whatever cones my way.
The setting sun mountain water reflection shot was stunning, great capture.
Great video, awesome scenery. Great when temperatures are such you can hike in shorts in the snow lol. View walking out to that lake with the snow covered hils around is breath taking l
ha ha, yes there much much discussion before hand as to whether it was warm enough for shorts. Spring hiking is great.
That is a great way to spend some time with your sister Cathy. It is always much nicer to share the outdoor adventures and experiences with someone enjoying it at the same time. I am sure that you two had a blast out there catching up with the family memories and future plans. And it was just fine that you weren't able to spend loads of time having to look straight into the camera and speak directly to us while worrying about the lighting and camera angles. Your format for filming this outing worked perfect I think. We had a great picture of what going on at the time. Thank you again for taking the time to share your adventure with us. See you on the next one.
Wonderful trip! Gorgeous footage, thank you for making the effort and the cold feet to share this with us. Just love that spot, been a long time since I was last there but remember the frogs!
I'm so glad you enjoy what you're doing you are such an inspiration love and hugs from America my husband and I went camping all the time every free moment we had but now he passed and I've gotten old 71 so it does me good and makes me feel so at ease knowing that someone else is enjoying this and God bless 🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏❤️ r
Thank you, that is such a lovely thing to say, that you love to see others getting out and enjoying trips like this even though it is not something you are able to do any more. I hope my adventures bring back lots of wonderful memories of your times outdoors. Cathy
Cathy, Another great video with beautiful scenery. Thank you for taking the time & effort to prepare it for us viewers! Take care.
I think it’s so lovely that your sister shares your interest in camping and that she came along with you on this trip. I was also really pleased when you said you had hot water bottles. I was just thinking ‘why don’t they take hot water bottles with them’. And then you said you had some. 😄
Thank you for sharing your adventures. I really enjoy watching them. 😊🏕️
I feel really fortunate that we can share this love of the outdoors together. Our whole family is like that. Must have been the years of our parents dragging us out into the mountains as kids. 🤣 it paid off.
My respects to you…walking with wet boots on snow going up in elevation is not a easy one; been there and the feet suffer….as always, great adventure!!!!thank you
Thank you! I do feel sorry for my feet 😭 I put them through a lot. Worth it though 😆
This was outstanding, atmosphere is so alluring and simply gorgeous! Flawless presentation my friend!
Wonderful video. Thank you from Canada as we head into winter. I love the way your gratitude for your supporters is so sincere.
Thank you, that is a really lovely thing to say. I’m glad the gratitude comes across in the way that I feel it 🥰
Wrapping your hands around a hot cup of coffee on a cold morning camping is like WOW, that feels so good! That you even filmed your your Sisters trip together was thoughtful to us viewers. Thanks for taking us along.
Oh yes, complete bliss when those small things in life are hard fought. ☕️
It is such an awsome place. Love to camp like that.Have a wonderful weekend.
Thank you so much. (I did have a wonderful weekend, thank you. Just back from another trip so keep a look out for the video on the weekend.)
You make it look so easy but i know it is not. The scenery is so beautiful each camp you do. I love it.
Thank you 😊 I am glad you enjoyed the video. Thank you for appreciating the effort involved.
Wow Cathy what an stunning spot. Thank you for such a great video and showing us around the tops at the beginning of Spring. New Zealand has something for everyone. I hope your sister enjoyed the trip. Cheers from Australia.
Good evening from UK,
What a fantastic channel you have and I am sure it will be big just give it time as anything 🤔, I am no professional wild camper I am only enjoy out doors the way you do and absolutely love it. I don’t want to come across as an expert however the snow and cold would have been a good time to take advantage of making a fire with a fire wall deflector closer to your tent if the surroundings was possible enabling you to hand your boots near to take advantage on drying them out whilst project constant heat towards your tent🧐, footwear is soo important and must keep warm and dry at every possible moment as this is the cover for the human main engines out and about to walk us out of situations. As said I am absolutely no expert what so ever but just like to share some of my experiences on different subjects that may help enjoy the great adventures we have outdoors. You have a fantastic channel as said and I will keep on watching for sure as you give us great viewing and I find it very educational and I also learn different things and techniques from your channel, PS, then vacuumed packing is fantastic 👍!, but make sure what you take vacuumed can go back in your pack gear when not vacuumed , great post and look forward to your next as always, stay safe and live life to the full🤝🫡☺️
Thanks, great ideas/advice. Appreciated. ha ha, yes I definitely thought through the possibility of fitting the items back in the pack should the bag burst or such like. In reality I can just compress them with brute force, so I should be alright. Has crossed my mind though. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for another great adventure Kathy from the UK 🇬🇧, love every one I have watched,,,, love the video's You and indi , Tony and Bruno , Able and his wife, What a fantastic place NZ looks . Winter is just starting hear hope we get snow this year haven't had any where I live in Yorkshire for 13 years. Anyway all the best and keep the video's coming thanks from Steve a 71 year old that would love to do that...
Thanks so much! I am glad you are enjoying the channel, and those of my fellow NZ TH-camrs. We are lucky to have such lovely places to explore. I am glad you can come along to enjoy it, even it can't be in person.
Magical location Cathy. So tranquil. It was nice to see you share this one with your sister, though your snow ball throwing skills need developing. An opportunity missed! 😆
Ha ha, for sure. I need to practice. Although by missing I probably avoided a retaliation.
Another very enjoyable video! The scenery was stunning! Thanks so much for bringing us along.
Thank you so much for sharing this amazing spot with us ❤ Lots of love to you and your sister
Love watching your camping journeys, its been such a pleasure! 💯Amazing sceneries🦮
Great to see you adventuring with your Sister, me and my Sister go on weekend trips a few times a year, just the two of us - not camping lol we do the hotel camping... Love watching your videos :)
Thank you for the video. I'm always looking out for your journeys. This one was awsome. Such amazing scenery. Love the mountains and you find such beautiful spots to camp on. Nice to have your sister with you on this one. Have a nice day. Looking forward to the next one. Take care.
You are an amazing person. I love your accent and how positive you are. What an adventurous spirit you have to go alone or with another female to these remote places. Watching your videos it feels like I am there with you. I did camping when I was young but nowadays I prefer to just watch it. I hope your channel grows big and you can get more equipment to make you even more comfortable.
I love her accent too..wish I was brave enough but bears mountain lions here in Colorado most anywhere in U.S 😢
That looked like a cosy spot 😊 It was good to see you have the company of your sister and such nice scenery 👍 I am sure you don’t expect donations but i like to give something but I haven’t recently due to problems but i will as soon as i am sorted to show how appreciated you are for all your hard work.Thankyou for bringing us along 👍
Thanks Phil. It was pretty special getting to share it with my sister 😊. You are very kind, thank you for your support, in whatever form that may be. Watching and commenting is amazing 🤩
@@adventureot That is great.I have never been close to my brother so you are lucky 😊
Keep up the great work 👍
As we eek into winter in the states, it’s wonderful to see the beauty of the ice & snow. Extra special episode! Tough terrain tackled by some tough-as-nails ladies.
Thank you 😊 I guess it must be nice to see us here moving into summer while you head into winter because it creates variety. I’m not sure what winter is like in your neck of the woods, but I hope you can enjoy it and it’s not too harsh. 🥶 ❄️
@@adventureotI live in tropical Florida but live vicariously through others’ snow & ice adventures. Keep up the excellent work!
Love the area you ladies are backpacking in. Do you ever have to hang your food from a tree? Curious if you get bears or any other destructive creatures. ATB Sean from So~Cal.
We are SO darn lucky in New Zealand, no big predators. Can eat and sleep without looking over our shoulders.
So beautiful video very nice from fiji island take care beautiful ❤❤❤
never found out who you were with - not the same without the puppy
How come you ladies didn't put your tents next to each other ?
Restricted by the space we had, found two flat spots just big enough for one tent each 🙂👍
how come your sister would not be shown on the vidio
She didn’t mind being shown in the video, and was shown, I just chose to respect her privacy and her enjoyment of the trip by not getting in her face with the camera. Just a courtesy thing 😊
Just catching up with your Videos, this is Number 3 for me. I have been wondering why you do not use Hiking Sticks which have many uses including steading your Stream crossings and acting as Tent or Tarp Poles.... also brushing away Cobwebs ahead of you on Trails.......... My number 1 rule when stopping to camp is to raise my Shelter and Make my Bed above all things and that is after some 60 years of Backpacking...
I love your Number 1 rule. It is a great one. As long as you have shelter things are going to be alright. I am wondering which videos you might have watched because I can only think of one camp where I accidentally left me walking pole at home. Otherwise I always take it, especially when climbing as it is essential for me to save wear and tear on my knees. One day (when I'm rich, ha ha) I will by two, but for now one does the trick.
Magnificent! What a beautiful location. I appreciate your efforts Cathy. Cheers!
Thank you so much.
