Hindus and Jews are best friends. We should have purposeful and meaningful conversations among our spiritual leaders.

To mistake a reflection for the thing reflected is Idolatry. It comes into being as one considers he is lacking something, which means God has failed to deliver. This is arrogance, hubris, and ingratitude. The idolatrous self begins to believe it can be the creator of itself and all it needs to exist and survive can be found in it's own greatness. It is a very disappointing road to travel, for at it's end will only be disappointment. To "worship" the One True God means to recognize we are created and exist to have joy that comes from only One True Source. If and when we believe we have at our disposal some tool we can use to arrive at oneness with God, we have immediately placed a barrier between us and the Creator. In such cases, we have, in essence, E-dged G-od O-ut. Peace

Timothy Keller has a much richer and pertinent explanation of what an idol is.
Think about what brings you purpose and honor and worth. If it is something besides God then it is an idol for any of those things when pursued will let you down, will fail you and are not the ultimate source. The rest of the commandments and the rest of the Word of God is trying to tell us to be obedient ONLY to God and nothing else.
Not any ritual or tradition or holy land or our spouse or job or kids. But be obedient to him and in that obedience he will teach us how to live and love more deeply than ever before.
This will fulfill the commandment to love God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength and allow you to love your neighbor as yourself. It will manifest the fruits of the spirit.
You will be blessed and your family and your society.
Read Proverbs and ask God to teach you to Fear The Lord.

Idolatry is the religion of magic. It was black magic that got the Hebrews sold into slavery. They used the idol of baal associated with fertility and women with the jezebelle spirit who worshipped molock associated with child sacrifice. Thereafter they invoked the idol of ashera until your numbers increased to a point where you got sold into slavery. The Hebrews were sent as tribute to Egypt until the spell backfired and the pharaoh couldn't support your great numbers.

The idols of the nations are in the flags, and the flags are high and lifted up on a flag pole, and those who are serving the flag are serving idols.
The blind cannot see the idols of the nations high and lifted up on a flag pole, because the idols of the nations are made of fabric.
The god of the US is the image of the star spangled of heaven and the image of the bald eagle of the earth.
The god of Israel is the image of the star remphan of heaven Acts 7:43
The god of Canada is the image of the leaf of the maple tree of the earth.
The god of Mexico is the image of the eagle and serpent of the earth.
The god of Japan is the image of the sun of heaven.
Idolatry is through the pledge of allegiance to the flag and anthem.
When the king of Babylon the great played the anthem at the sound of music the Babylonians fell down to the ground and worshipped the image of the gold statue of the earth.
When the US plays the anthem at the sound of music the US stand on their feet and worshipped the image of the star spangled of heaven with a song.
The nations call their idols made of fabric "symbols".. God calls the nations symbols made of fabric "idols".

HOW is calling a man a Rabbi idolatry? Rabbi means teacher. That is there role to teach. In order to teach you need to learn. We don't idolize our Rabbis/ We must not put them on high pedestals that can't be reached. If you look in the Torah you will see that all of our role models are not superheroes they are men and women who make mistakes. Rabbis are not meant to be idolized but rather emulated for their connection to our Creator and for their wisdom. That is it

the New Testament actually proceeds the Old Testament. You only get the Old Testament a the law to show you that you need a new testament because you have not kept the law. Rabbi means Master. They are not masters of truth. God is the master. These men cannot even agree on what they believe and reject the new testament because it exposes them as frauds, who love the world and mind carnal things that perish, as fools.@@saul2491

Idolatry is much easier to do than this man describes. He describes it with so much confidence yet he misses the mark completely. When we put something above HaShem it is idolatry. For instance, we put away HaShem's Torah and trade it in for the Talmud, the "wisdom" of man instead and we call it the "Oral" Torah. This is the essence of idolatry. We put the "Chachamin" in a place either equal with or above HaShem Himself.

    • @natans5323
      @natans5323 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Your a complete Moron.. Jews don’t put Oral law or Chachamim above Hashem .... Hashem gave us the oral law as well.. it’s the lifeline of Judaism and he’s 100% correct. Quote your sources .. he offered his.

Ad hominem is the WEAKEST argument on earth!!! You have NOTHING to support your claim! I have HaShem's COMPLETE Torah to support mine! Talmud was created by men AFTER BABYLON! HaShem did NOT make Torah insufficient as to have a need for an ORAL "torah". And how would you like it if someone called YOUR GRANDMOTHER a moron! You are a disgrace to mankind young man! Teshuvah time! Go to your room!

@Toby Henderson just think about this... Why would HaShem Create a Torah that no one would understand then hundreds of years later Create the "Oral Torah"? So he gave Torah to Moshe Rabeinu on Mount Sinai for our people but SYKE you are not going to understand it till sometime after Babylon?
