What's crazy about Tiger is it's a non exaggerated what could have been story, and he still has the most records and wins on the PGA tour 😊 For me tho this 2000 season (along with the others) puts him ahead of Jack but I respect anyone who prefers Jack. Comparing different decades will always be subjective because they played different people with different equipment.
Considering he was hurt for almost 4-5 total years throughout his career, the years he was able to play he averaged 4.25 wins per year for almost 20 years
He switched from Titleist to Nike about half way thru that year and Phil Mickelson made it clear that Tiger was actually playing with inferior equipment for much of his career
@@LanceManyon-p3x Tiger Woods started playing Nike golf balls in the spring of 2000. He used Nike's Tour Accuracy ball, which was a solid-core, urethane-covered golf ball. Woods played the Tour Accuracy ball at the 2000 Deutsche-Bank-SAP Open in Germany, and then went on to win the U.S. Open by a record 15 strokes. Woods' switch to the Nike Tour Accuracy ball had a dramatic impact on the golf ball industry and changed the way golf balls were manufactured. Woods' 2000 season was considered one of the greatest in golf history, with nine worldwide victories, three consecutive major wins, and a scoring average that was almost three shots better than the Tour average.
It’s laughable when they compare Scottie to Tiger. Shefflers first 6 years as a pro, 13 wins/ 2 majors. Tiger had 30 wins/ 6 majors his first 6 years as a pro.
Let it go. He was my favorite since before turning pro but it's over. It's not gonna help create interest by harping on the past and yes the Tour is boring now...
Golf has always emphasized traditions, the past, legacy and history. People will always talk about Tiger. He's the most dominant athlete of this generation.
I watched it all…so lucky to have witnessed Tigers performance in 2000. Unbelievable & unrepeatable
@kmurphy994 Well said
Tiger was the most dominant athlete of his generation.
Tiger didn’t move the needle…Tiger was the needle
The only time i have completely agreed with brandel. Tiger has given us enough.
Thats an 80 million dollar season this year
Simply The Greatest Golfer had ever seen played in his prime
Tiger is of course a legend. I am so fond of how Chamblee talks about this legend and golf history in general.
Branden chambelee - tigers 2019 masters victory- great comeback - awesome 🙌 - -- Phil mickleson 2021 pga major ? Yeah , that was a fluke ! 🤔
Tiger said it himself Brandel, that Jack’s 18 majors was the gold standard in professional golf.

How come nobody ever mentions that everyone else played a balata ball in 2000 and he played a Nike/prov 1. Huge deal and it’s never talked about.
😂😂😂😂😂

Textbook example of correlation is not causation.
Prov1 was not even invented yet. What are you even talking about
When Branden speaks... I turn the channel
Lmao you know it’s bad when golf channel’s resorting to this

It's not a golf channel.....at best it's a "some of golf channel". With a a lot of touchy feely emasculated BS.

@wittenberg5 no sh*t but they have to beat it to death now because the "best in the world" are boring
