With what happened with the Indians civ, the civ of the PH archipelago might get separate treatment from Malays (it cant be called Filipinos because that is a name of spanish origin).
@@kelvinhow1965 Yes I've heard about the Keris/Kris sword and I think it's beautifully designed and crafted with snake-like curves on the blade. I'm not Malay I'm of Southern Chinese descent but I always feel connected to SE Asians, there're some Tai-Kradai tribes living in Southern China and they are quite similar to SE Asians both in terms of appearance and culture.

Either in AoE3 or AoE2. I played against Malay Ai the other night, and the Karambit spam was ridiculous. It was like watching ants swarming grasshoppers, the way they devoured my Paladins.
Malay unique unit supposed to be hulubalang, and there are many race in that region like acheh, jawa/Javanese, sunda, filipino and many more. But aoe2 make malay is represent for that race i mention, yeah some of this race i mention have similar language with malay,but they are differences. Old aoe2 have indian civilizations,but now they separated because india is a big country with many race they have hindustanis,bengalis, Dravidian or tamil, and gujaras. And southeast asian also need to separated it like what aoe2 did with indian civilizations. And malay campaign actually for javanese people,because gajah mada and majapahit are javanese history. Malay campaign should be about srivijaya empire or maybe melaka/malacca sultanate. I wish aoe2 will make that.

The Malays are one of my fav civs in the game. Their karambit warriors are very agile and are suitable for raiding or base defense.
