The Diawa ballistics are my absolute favorite surf casting rods. Years back i used throw sting silvers to ocean stripers . I fished the 40 405 for Drum and Cobia off the beaches of North Carolina and Virginia. Used the rod s for tournament long distance casting and had cast over 810 ft .in practice in Shallote North Carolina 2007 NE . Open Sportcast USA event. I recently sold all my rods and switched back to the ballistics ordered the H model which is the 33-405 and 35- 405 XH models.
Why doesnt anybody show us the plug as its being cast? Sure would help to see the distance as compared to different weight plugs and also different rods.
@@brendanwoerner3352 im not doing rod reviews. Its not hard to show where the plug lands, its super easy. People are just lazy. Trying to help them elevate their game by giving us a very important data point: how does she cast! I mean they are showing this side angle in an attempt to do that and all im saying is its useless. Ok smartass?

Really great video!
Very nice video
Looks better than the red series
Where can I purchase the this blank from?
2:14 have you caught a fish on that lure?
I want to use the heaviest version for heaving chunk baits to 6-7 ft sharks. Is it robust enough for the task?
I wanna try the 13 ft for sturgeon bank fishing snake river!
Absolutely!
I have the jigster 12’ it is heavy. I regret having it. And this thing is 13’?

That’s too hard to do. It’s not magic do it yourself instead of complain

How much would you say the rod weighs? Also, would it be sensitive enough for things like pompano or just bigger fish like drum?
I think you might want something lighter for pompano. This has a soft tip but it's a pretty rugged rod.
The Ballistic is for blacktips and big drums beyond the second bar.
I enjoyed that series
Very nice. Wish you would have included the St Croix Seage series.
