    Who is here after the Natalia Bernett case?

    • @ESponge2000
      @ESponge2000 5 ปีที่แล้ว +27

      iRon This video increases even more my empathetic support for Natalia Grace. The REAL story here to me is how an extreme devotion for the Barnett’s prodigal son Jake, justified to the parents an negligent will to remove their attention (as well as love and support) for Natalia’s self-worth and all that they may have originally had in mind when they adopted Natalia in 2010. This mentality on the part of Barnetts rendered their care on adopted Natalia absolutely atrocious on all accounts (can throw any age you want on any human face any size it doesn’t change my conclusion).
      While I of course still can appreciate the positive mental capacities showcased in this 60 minutes video, it also now adds closure for me on how Barnetts were perhaps able to be so cruel as they were in their deeds regarding Natalia. They clearly had no business adopting Natalia only to negatively scar her childhood.
      Aside from Natalia, this family appears to me personally as incredibly over-manipulative even in dictating and describing Jake’s autism not the way he might approve of himself deep down in his own soul, overriding Jake’s own feelings by making some major decisions on his behalf, turning him into a sort of robot to be praised. I do not approve in many of the practices of this family and it’s a pity I have to draw that conclusion in spite of the brilliancy showcased in this 60 minutes and their claim to fame in handling children with special needs.
      Lastly, please note I myself am on the autism spectrum, if that means anything to the reader. So I am more than qualified to speak on this subject. I wish all the best for Jake but I hope this family, as God’s children no different from any of the rest of us, can come to terms with their own imperfections, on God, on members of the community, on seeking forgiveness, and facing consequences for injustices against others such as Natalia, and ask our ever forgiving maker for redemption. I myself am imperfect, so are we all. Only God is perfect. Thank you for listening.

      There are two sides to every story. The parents actually only had a family dr write up a letter saying her age was older...all the actual medical tests said she was a child. Look at the before and after pictures of Natalia....clearly a child in the first photo and developed and matured in the photo as a teen....Kristine Barnett is a narcissist loves the media attention

      It's Big Bang Sheldon in the Flesh! Yes here after Natalia case - here after hearing it in Canberra Australia! Even if the Court buggered up in accepting documents from doctors to change Natalia's age.... they are still innocent! The court ruled and upheld the rulings on numerous occasions that Natalia was an adult , they didn't abandon her even after the Court ruled. Where is all the news on the adoption agency being investigated??? These people are smart people, they wouldn't be saying false statements in the media (particularly after the Jodi Arias case) if it wasn't true as ALL statements will be used against them!

    Poor Jake. As an autistic person, I feel bad that he has those shitty parents. It’s tough enough being autistic. But then add sociopathic parents to that and it’s a nightmare. People ignore your struggles and needs when your smart.
    This country fails disabled people. It neglects us and allows others to ostracize and vilify us. I hope Natalia gets justice and Jake gets to be a normal adult away from his parents.

    • @JDMimeTHEFIRST
      @JDMimeTHEFIRST ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I also hate the eugenic shit where they want to erase the “bad parts” of autism and yet benefit from our good parts. F you lady. I’m all good. I just need accommodations and empathy from neurotypicals who instead just expect me to spend my time trying to think like them. No thanks, I have a soul. I’d rather be autistic than a sociopath. How about curing sociopathy instead? Oh, right . . , there’s more of them and they control the world . They don’t want to lose power. 🙄

    • @pandemic7
      @pandemic7 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Interestingly, I don’t think his dad is sociopathic. I’m the parent of an autistic teen, so I’m not ignorant to autism and how varied it can be. I feel that Michael may be on the spectrum as well. His mannerisms, speech pattern, the way he emotes, etc. That said, Michael is clearly trying to minimize his involvement, but there is there is definitely enough evidence to show that Kristine was manipulating him as well.
      But I agree, the fact that Jacob is autistic makes it that much worse. And a GENIUS no less.

      What about the chance that they adopted Natalia because they thinked like 'we already have our son with authism, let's accept another child with genetic issues into our family'?
      And what if time passed and they realised that their son was a genius with a brilliant future ahead and Natalia was a kid still dependent of them, making they changed their mind about her adoption?
      Just look at the dates!
      We have to consider the possibility that they wanted to restart life in other place with their now prodigy son and forget their adopted daughter and their responsibility.
      I think you all watched to much movies and series to think like that.
      In real life, there is a lot of couples that adopt childrens and abandon them later, because they have their own biological children, get short on money, realise how difficult is to take car of a children with certains conditions or stupid things like don't think the children has a beatiful appearance.
      I'm not saying that is the truth for their case, but there is a lots of people treating the girl like a psychopath and nothing was proved yet.
      Just mind that none of them was proved as guilt of anything until now.

      @@nahnesieben1147 They are highly intelligent people, and clearly wanted to make some good by giving a child with a medical condition a home. Something clearly went wrong, and given that they are not an annonimous family, I think the least they wanted was to brought such a negative image to them. The "girl" was by herself an entire year and no neighbor warned authorities of a "child" living alone in a house. Other suspicious thing is the time that passed till she finally informed of her case. That's really odd to me. And other bizarre thing in this case is that the "neglecting" mother is an author of special education books. So clearly she has the patient and the knowledge to deal with kids with mental issues.

      Zambie Crew And all of you regardless of age, are not mature enough to see the big picture. Jake is missing out on a childhood while the parents’ motivation is to make themselves look like perfect parents by pushing him to skip all of school to only be a math-science genius and never appreciate so many other meaningful subjects that matter for human development.
      In contrast, Natalia was a sweet-hearted soulful girl who never had a chance to be unconditionally loved as a kid as she was abandoned and then forced to have her age altered. Natalia’s struggle was for her individual voice to be heard, her vengeance was to STOP this robot perfectionism and her aggression was her only known way to express she was very very very unhappy inside , she wanted to be a kid, she wanted to be loved, she wanted to be imperfect as she was, not have to compete with her brother Jake, and they never appreciated Natalia, they left her abandoned where if anything came out of Jake, she tried to copy Jake’s high school binge by getting her GED all by herself and instead she cried sobbed and fell into the arms of a new adopted family that finally loved her for her :(((((((((( How Sadddd ...poor Natalia .... my heart is for Natalia . This video increases even more my empathetic support for Natalia Grace. The REAL story here to me is how an extreme devotion specific to the family’s prodigal son Jake Barnett, justified to the parents a callous will to remove their attention (as well as love and support) from much of Natalia’s self-worth and all that they may have originally had in mind when they adopted Natalia. This mentality on the part of Barnetts compromised their level of due care and support for Natalia on all accounts, in favor of promoting Jake instead.
    While I of course can still appreciate the positive mental capacities showcased in this 60 minutes video, this upload also now adds closure for me on how Barnetts were perhaps able to act so cruel as they were in their deeds regarding Natalia. It was to promote a favored child at the expense of another. They clearly had no business adopting Natalia only to negatively scar her childhood. She wanted to be a kid unlike Jake, cherish the social relationships Jake wouldn’t care as much to have, have diverse subjects of interest, not be perfect genius but be a unique creative little person.
    Aside from my thoughts specific to the Natalia case, I also want to mention that this family appears to me personally as incredibly over-manipulative even in dictating and describing Jake’s autism not the way he might approve of himself deep down in his own soul, overriding Jake’s own feelings by making some major decisions on his behalf, turning him into a sort of robot to be praised.

      The Prosecutor went to Ukraine and gathered solid evidence Natalia was a child. He published his findings online after the Michael Barnett trial. The judge ruled the jurors could not hear that Natalia was a child when left to live alone. The jury had to decide that Michael Barnet was not guilty despite wanting to vote for a guilty verdict. The rules the Judge gave them to make their decision constricted them to a not guilty verdict.
