It's not like trump couldn't get people to swoon and rave over him for publicity. We've seen that in rallies. A showman he certainly is. And he no doubt has people who set up publicity stunts for his benefit. I doubt he's so popular alone, that he's like a rock star.

I've been trying to switch to watching this type of YT videos on my POS ROKU DUMB TV because MSNBC has started showing the same endless series of lobotomizingly gratuitous decadent Peacock/Bravo "reality" promos every 10 minutes for months at a time. And ever since (g)00gle's YT-TVs second carriage war in under a year with Walmart's even worse "made in China" TCL-Roku franchise, morons like me not only got a rate increase but 10x more ads. MSNBC must have finagled a new contract offering hosts more money for less airtime because Joe & Mike went from $23M/yr to $30M & Rachel $30/yr to go from 5 to 1 day a week. Evidently CONcast/NBCU is deducting $1B from NBCs budget to promote their failing Peacock venture who is now offering their services for $19/yr instead of $60.

Knowing this history of Trump is frightening, for me, yet to know the millions of supporters in America and around the world do not know Trumps ugly history sets a greater chill in me. David Cay Johnston illustrates an excellent penetrating composition, a lot I did not know but sensed intuitively since Trumps television show "The Apprentice". Reflecting about the that television show revealed a creepy importance of Loyalty in contrast to Good Business Government Practice. Sotomayor said it very appropriately, subtlety coupling America’s existence† to the Supreme Court abortion decision, " [Will] America survive the Stench...". Trumps influence upon America will be difficult to resolve, seventy million American Trump Republican supporters will not make it easy to wash off that stench, becoming born again to truth of new ideas. My opinion. [JZ].

Washing off the stench of trumpism,
The Dr. Ignaz Semmelwiess in 1848 figured out that washing off the stench of rotted human flesh from his subordinates hands, clothes and instruments would end the miserable deaths occurring in his clinic. The system fired him, women especially, resumed dying miserable deaths, and he died promptly after being beaten down into an insane asylum. A statue has been erected in his hometown to honor his sacrifice to bring forward the truth.
Trumpism is filth stench upon our body politic, those few Republicans who openly say this truth are excoriated by trump and his enablers. Truth tellers will be honored in the future for opposing maliscious lies; trumpism.

This was especially interesting to me since I am a lifetime student of power mongering throughout human history since it fosters the cultural cancer that plagues the U.S.A. -- our inability to recover from the ravages of slavery and the South's loss of the Civil War as it plays out daily in this 3rd decade of the 21st century.

Guy tells it like it is. The real challenge is finding more honest men than you have corrupt ones in government. At the moment the corrupt officials outnumber the honest ones. Also it is too easy for the corrupt to be corrupt and get away with it. Maybe remove the temptation and or actually be pragmatic and seriously tackle the whole issue right across the board.

AMTax reporting with NYT, David Clay should be testifying at Senate Judicial Hearing. Can Amy Klobuchar, judicial or ways and means who would take up 76million dollar refund In one year. Thanks for reminding me what I suspected: Standards of Living was better in 70's, but not 80's and forward exponentially.

First, every one being 'compromised' is how all Mafias and criminal gangs work; everyone must be guilty of something so everyone depends on the Mafia for protection; the prime reason Rats are so hated by those people.
Second, for everyone keeping close score at home 1/6 was a putsch, not a coup or an insurrection and certainly not a riot. This may very well be a distinction without a difference, but nonetheless

I absolutely watched EVERY MINUTE of Rachel Maddow's show prior to the election of trump and I absolutely was not laughing. I was also scared to death of what could happen. I didn't even know what a dangerous psychopath he was until he let 800,000 people die of COVID!

Not so sure you are correct about that covid death assertion. Fauci blocked the remedy Trump was taking because it was safe and effective but out of patent. Even the bleach story has been found to have science there...very mild bleach destoys covid. Dr Zalenko's nephew contacted Trump/Meadows as Zalenko knew what could stop covid. Trump should have sacked Fauci...why didn't he? Fauci keeps the big pharma gravy train going full steam....money being made.....maybe that's why!
