Иван Васильев мало известен в широких " кругах". Но Он -- действительно выдающийся танцовщик. Это явление. Уникальный, мощный, артистичный. Сегодня много фамилий мы знаем " работают" танцовщиками , а Иван -- он не просто танцует, он захватывает своей потрясающей энергией и артистичностью. Гений Балета. Жаль , что скромный. Не пиарится.
Magnificent as usual. He has such a nice face. I used to love it when he and Natalia were dance partners. They were so well matched. Choreographic heaven. Such a shame they split up. He is superb 🩰🩰🩰🩰🙏👵🇦🇺

Simply perfection! Beyond the obvious- jumps, spins, there is the musicality, the wonderful feet, the machismo; truly charismatic, the dramatic interpretation and intensity; truly the epitome of the male dancer!
Ivan is magnificent. I saw him in Costa Mesa where he & Natalia replaced the other leads at the last minute. Audience scre-e-e-e-e-amed at his jumps. Absolute Ivanmania.}}}}}}}}}} Hope he quits smoking. This worries me.
@iamhere233 Apart from 1st December, Ivan and Natalia are performing at the Mikhailovsky Theatre on 28, 29 and 30 December. Their last performance for the Bolshoi will be 27 November in Don Quixote.
@iamhere233 He (and his fiance Natalia Osipova) has just left the Bolshoi to work with the Mikhailovsky Theatre in St Petersburg. His first performance there will be on 1st December.
@pediatrapaola In some ways, Ivan's performances when he was in his late teens were better imo - because technically he was more refined and correct. I think that in his desire to be "macho" on stage he sometimes goes too far the other way, exaggerates his acting and can appear coarse in some roles. It's a very fine line, and he needs to keep his classical refinement, while still having that virile stage presence. He's so young and so brilliant - with the right coaching he'll learn!

I think Ivan is the closest to Misha in teqnique and leaps. Being short he also has to push himself. Jusr as masculine.
