A golden opportunity for Gray-New Gloucester basketball

Maine crowned 10 boys' and girls' teams as state basketball champions in five classes earlier this month. In this episode of Chasing Maine, we showcase Gray-New Gloucester High School, which won the Gold Ball in the boys' Class A division.
With a win over Hampden Academy on March 2, the Gray-New Gloucester Patriots brought home a state title for the first time since 1975. Coach Ian McCarthy - in his first year as head coach for the Patriots - spoke to us about what made the team so strong and what it felt like to win at the Cross Insurance Arena in Portland.
