"‘Remnants in Time’ is the first chapter in this story. It marks the final moments of a person's life and the journey that begins right after.
We wanted the visuals to strongly reflect the lyrics and the concept behind them, and transforming me into a demon was key in that. I'm a huge fan of horror/sci-fi and makeup transformations, so working with a professional makeup artist and the use of prosthetics was the coolest part for me!
This song - and video - is all about extremes. Angelic and demonic, fragile and strong, delicate and aggressive. It embodies a lot of what THE AGONIST is about.”

It’s heavy, it’s melodic, it’s everything we love from The Agonist. Vicky’s vocals are on another whole level, this girl just keeps surprising us. I love how the guys shine on their own way: you have amazing bass lines, the phenomenal guitar solos, and the furious drumming. The dynamics are on point and keeps the song flowing without getting monotone and giving us an element of surprise with the stops. I like where this is going... 🤘💣
Also is no one gonna mention the demonic costume/make up during the heavy parts? I'm not a fan of horror movies but it worked so well in this video, it added to the experience and intensity of the heaviness. It's like she drags you to hell for a glimpse. I'm SOOO glad I wasn't stoned when i saw this video, it would have been absolutely terrifying 🤣

Her vocals have improved drastically from when she first joined the band, she sounds incredible!
I think she sounds incredible even back on Eye of Providence, but for sure the whole band are always pushing themselves to be the best they possibly can!
I love the way her vocals sounded “untrained” (for lack of better term) on Eye of Providence. It’s a major reason why it’s still my favorite The Agonist album, but yes, now she has different sounds under her belt and the best thing about how her vocals have improved is how clearly she enunciates. I feel like I never have to look up the lyrics to the newer songs, and I love that.
@@HoneyPiss I had a hard time listening to Vicky in Eye of Providence, but her vocals are so damn good rn. I am really happy to witness her growth with The Agonist. The whole band kicks more ass with every new release as well.

But I have to say, in my opinion in Five her screams sound worse than in Eye of Providence - more strained, like a bit of struggle. I was worried about her voice and I was veryy happy to hear her improvement in Orphans. She sounds much healthier now. I would love to know more about her technique, for me it sounds like she changed the way she screams/growls, but I can't be sure.

Honestly I really appreciate Eye Of Providence. At last I never get hooked with Five because her voice sounded weak and tired... When I heard Orphans it was a real surprise! I am proud to see all efforts she does and the band too

Dude I was so sad when the canceled the show they were going to do with Fleshgod Apocalypse. The drumming alone during that show would have been by far the best I've seen.

Each record since Eye of Providence is even greater than the previous one! This song is pure force and rage, pure power, and the choirs during the chorus and the piano give a small gothic touch, AWESOME!

Look im sorry, I'm from Montreal and I grew up going to every the Agonist show ,wherever they went,saint eustache,mtl,other small towns...etc, and I'm telling that Lullabies was the frigging summum for the Alissa led band,however since they have Vicky its a whole different band. I still adore it , but Lullabies was the bomb. It's like comparing Ozzys Sabbath to Dios both of em are amazing

Really should've seen the breakup coming. She has Rob the Ripper from Sicksense in this video, so already that band was bleeding into this one's work. Sad to see them get messed up by two lead singers like that. Like, sure, if you're in a group and just not feeling it and talk it out it's cool. Vicky seemed pretty cool and chill when I met her, but you never know what people are actually like when they're not in the public eye. I also don't know whether or not there were talks of her leaving while she was getting ankle-deep in Sicksense and having Rob involved with Agonist stuff. I really hope there wasn't some immature bullshit going on like with Alissa. As much as I respect her as a singer, she's a stuck up narcissist like Tarja Turunen. I'd hate to find out Vicky is much the same, as again I really respect her as a singer.

Honestly, I might agree. I loved the Orphans album but this is on another level.
The clean singing has such dissonant harmonies, that it's just as haunting as the screaming, if not more so! I can see why monks were banned from chanting diminished intervals. This band is amazing at their art! Vicky has become Super Saiyan and I love it!
For some reason it strongly reminds me Fleshgod Apocalypse older songs.
