אָעוּפָה אֶשְׁכֹּנָה הינו פיוט ממסורת יהודי מרוקו, פרי עטו של ר' יצחק אביחצירא, בנו הרביעי והקטן של רבי יעקב אביחצירה המכונה 'אביר יעקב', סביו של ה'באבא סאלי'. ר' יצחק, תלמיד-חכם ומקובל, פעל במרוקו בסוף המאה ה-19 ובתחילת המאה ה-20. זהו אחד מבין הפיוטים המופיעים בקובץ השירים 'יגל יעקב' - קובץ שירים פרי עטם של הרבנים משושלת אביחצירה

Motti Steinmetz sings Yaffa VeTamma and A'ufa Eshkonah
The first song "Yaffa VeTamma" is Holy Poetry (Piyyut) describing Israels' love for the Torah. It was composed and written by the esteemed Rabbi Shlomo Abitbul OBM of Marrakesh, Morroco (19th Century).
The second song "A'ufa Eshkonah" is based on the Song of Songs, describing Israels yearning for the Messiah. It was composed and written by the esteemed Rabbi Isaac Abuhatzeira OBM of Tafilalt Morroco (late 19th, early 20th century).
The last two tunes are of Chassidic origins.

Motty Steinmetz performs the Jewish history and philosophy with his heart and nerves. Motty makes ancient prayers and cantos acquire new contemporary breath, raising them from ruins and oblivion. Motty’s inspiration gives new non-stop primavera existence to the Yaffa Vetama - piyyut of the early medieval Andalusian culture, verses by Rabbi Shlomo Abitbol, brought by Sephardim to Morocco during the exile. Meanwhile the oriental contemplative rhythmic embroidery bursts out to the Ashkenazie overwhelming emotions - Motty’s ancient Vizhnitz Niggun, where Torah words turn to sounds encoded in symbols. Motty Steinmetz remembers with his Soul and authentically expresses both Sephardic and Ashkenazie history from the depths of his mind, it's rather mysterious, but everyone starts feeling the same, as if coming in touch with the first founders of Hasidic philosophy.

Neither song sung by Motty in Morocco are familiar to me and do not seem to be part of his usual repertoire. Can anyone tell me the titles and lyrics and if the songs are indigenous to Morocco?

These are Sephardic songs (except for the last 2 songs - Motty's "Niggun Vizhnitz" and "Geshmack to be a yid"). Their style and melodies are totally different from those ones of Ashkenazi style Motty usually performs (as he himself is an Ashkenazi Hasid).
