I played this soo much as a kid. Irl I had not talent at all for skateboarding so I used my above average talent at bmx to compensate. I wish the Dave Mirra games took off the way Tony's did.
Anyone else find it fucked that music is meant for the ears and for free sorta, yet we can't have the awesome soundtrack on a decade plus old game playing
chad wizzle music like any creative work is not free and deserves money, but if it's in a game it should be able to be used since they got paid for it already, and should count as a stream if the song is played through on the game
Games like this we're a step up from the norm I remember being blown away by the size of the playing field and all the activities that came with the terrain. It still had the feeling of "I wish I could" or a "I hope on the next one they let you..." Games today literally come packed with everything not that it's a bad thing but back in 2003 you could see the engineering limitations and appreciate the effort all the more. Now your just one DLC away from getting across the ocean or upgrading the graphics or size the game. So that I'm clear, I'm not complaining its just amazing how far we came in gaming. This game holds a special place in my heart for really introducing me to a lot.
Chef: "Failure will bring disgrace to my name and restaurant." You own one of McDonalds fast-foods. I think they already have enough of disgrace already.
I was literally thinking the same thing, I was about to comment this: "Chef: Failure will bring disgrace to my name. Me: You work at a McDonald's, your name is already disgraced."
Don't blame you. When I played Underground 2 for the first time, my dumbass younger self couldn't figure out the boneless. I didn't realize I was supposed to press Up twice before popping an ollie. I also had a similar issue with Special moves, as I was under the impression I had to press both direction buttons at the same time instead of in a sequence. Likewise for the Natas spin. I actually got stuck in my homeland because I had no idea how to perfom it.
I wish they made thug3, and it would really deal with what's happening with skating, skateboarding has never been more popular, yo have a list celebs repping skate brands, yet skate companies are dying and pros are not making as much as they were years ago.
I didn't have access to games until I moved to the West in 2008. By which time, no one played this game. Thanks for the tip! I will check the website out now :)
How tf did you do that chad muska one. Do you do the trick before you hit the rail or once you do, cause he wont do the trick despite the fact the bar is full and im on the line
“This ain’t joisey kid” .. never gets old
Will never get over that Chef standing out front of the McDonald's
“Stopped dating dwarfs last week”
Actually a pretty witty retort there Mr. Sparrow.

Dave mirra is gone

9:32 easier way to do the taxi one: do a trick over it then do the rest of the tricks in the same combo

"Send your soggy mopflips back to Jersey, tweakers!"
My all time favorite video game quote
It feels very awkward without the music for this game!
I didn’t even notice there was no music until I read this comment..
The soundtrack was one of the best ever imo
Especially the mission in New Jersey where you have to avoid the dealers it used to have some creepy music in the background it was gone haha
“My fusion of ancient Japanese cooking techniques.” (Works at Mcdonald’s)
"The Banks are the heart of the New York skate scene. Score big here and you're done!"
*Proceeds to grind on power lines
Remember having trouble with the boneless 🤦♂️

Even as a kid, the slang was wild in this game.
Thug 1> Thug 2

I wish they made thug3, and it would really deal with what's happening with skating, skateboarding has never been more popular, yo have a list celebs repping skate brands, yet skate companies are dying and pros are not making as much as they were years ago.
Still looks like a lot of fun. Shame this was before my time.
Know how I can play this game in 2018 without buying a ps2?
I didn't have access to games until I moved to the West in 2008. By which time, no one played this game. Thanks for the tip! I will check the website out now :)
I also recommend picking up an Xbox 360 and buying an online copy of thug for original xbox
