Clean build, not too overly customized that you would be intimidated to drive it, drive train and paint well thought out.. Steve Holcomb does such great interior work, so many details, speaker grills, recessed LED and carbon fiber inserts, the console, headliner....you have to look 3-4 times to really appreciate his designs and craftsmanship. Thanks Scottie D
Scottie your living the dream brotha. you get to film and meet and look at all these priceless cars that all have a unique signature from their owner. thank you for giving us the window to view it.
Damn. I love late 2nd gen firebirds and this is just about the most respectful modern interior redo I’ve ever seen. Creative directors get plenty of credit for exterior looks but I feel like more praise should be given to interior designers, especially given that you sit on the inside of a car when you drive
dont think ive ever seen a car built by someone that ive thought 'thats basically my perfect car' before, good video, like how the custom bits seem stock-inspired
'79 Trans Am was my first car as well. Man, the tickets I got with that thing! Mine was red w/o T-Tops. It came with the 403 but I found a 400 in a junk yard and had it rebuilt.
Man I really like it! ... Looks cherry ... buddy of mine back in 79 bought his right off the showroom floor ... the original black with the total package... Steve did another awesome job Scottie! ...
ScottieDTV Cool, sounds like you have a new ride coming? ... If so that would be sweet ... What I didn't say was the buddy of mine mom went out & bought the same 79 in white with the blue bird on the hood ... His younger brother owns it now ... Looks just like it did the year she bought it ... Looking forward to what you might have coming up ... I've wanted to build a nice 68 T-bird for years & I've put it off ... Now that my health has gone down I'm not sure that will happen ... But hey there's always seeing your videos for a pick me up! ... Think you know how I feel about them dude ... Rock on brother lol! ...
You had a 79 TA for a first car? You are a lucky son of a gun. I got my grandma's Rebel for a first car that we called the DENT. Because she bumped into everything but the body shop. My second car was a Pacer we dubbed the petri dish. I got it for a 100 bucks because it rolled into the Columbia river and sat under water for weeks before authority's finally pulled it out because boaters were complaining about prop strikes next to the boat ramp. It was only two years old but the smell inside the car was like a pair of gym socks. Man those were the days Scottie. My third car was a 68 SS 396 4 speed Camaro. I should have never sold that one. Love the 79 TA Your videos are spectacular brother. See you soon!!!
Well the third time was the charm for sure!!!!...lol...I have been blessed to grow up around hot cars.....I was 15.5 when I bought that Trans Am I had sold it and bought a 84 Z-28 by the time I was 17....lol...That Z28 was my favorite car....Called it...The Toy...license plate said....RADTOY....Man I miss that Car!!!
I just can't believe how much money people are getting for cars that I used to buy for peanuts. Its crazy. If I had kept 6 or 7 of my old cars and sold them today. I could retire and sit on a beach somewhere drinking champagne from a beer tap. Want to hear something funny? Of all the cars I owned at one time, I miss my 71 SS El camino the most. And I don't even know why! lol
This has to be the best interior in a Trans Am I have ever seen. Too bad I'm in Australia, otherwise I would get Steve to do the interior in my '79 Redbird.
hey Scotti. love all your videos. Scotti I also almost finished my 1955 Buick Roadmaster. I owned it for 30 years cool car everybody looks like I'm a celebrity.
Damn Fine TA Scottie! I partial to the '79 as well. When i was young, my ex Brother-in-law had a SWEET Black '79 Trans Am. He would take me Cruzin' up and down the Main Drag in town..BOY did i think i was Kool!!! Only later did i realize he was a complete Douche! Took my Sister a little longer to figure it out. lol
Damn Scottie that is one nice T/A very tastefully done usually not into a lot of the aftermarket stuff but that is very very nice ! Your first car was a 79 you Must of had a smile ear to ear on that day! My first car was a 1985 Ford GT Cobra red & black every penny I earned went in to that car lol
lol....There was a bunch of work in front of me....The day I really smiled is when we had finished fixing it...New paint...strips....The bird on without screwing it up!!!...lol....That was a happy day....But I only kept it about it a year....I than got a 84 Z-28....The RADTOY.....lol...That was a awesome car for sure!!

Steve Holcombe is SUPER TALENTED. You interview a lot of builders, but Holconbe seems to be the most approachable, polite and informative.
For sure!!
