In highschool I had a friend who lost their mom to cancer and then not even a year after my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and then not even a year later my grandma was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer. My mom has now been in remission for almost 5 years and the anniversary of my grandmas passing was recently. I completely relate to the "everything happens for a reason" because nothing pissed me off more. Saying that doesn't help anything and it doesn't help make sense of anything. This song is beautifully written! Thank you so much for putting this song out into the world!

My sister died 21 days before her 47th birthday. She had asked us(her 2brothers, and 3sisters) to throw her a big amazing birthday party. We were getting it ready. It was just for family, and close close friends. I think she knew she wouldn’t be here to celebrate with us, and wanted us to celebrate her anyways. She wanted us to be here to hug, and cry with each other. It’s the only party she ever asked us to throw her in her entire life. That was last year May 29/2021. Two days after her 39th birthday 8 years prior May 31/2013 our brother was killed in a plane crash.

I watched how my aunt, my uncle, mom and older sister had cancer and cancer took my aunt and my uncle and it hurt so much and I still miss them both. It seems like it was yesterday that they left. I know we will all meet one day and be together again. I'm so glad you both have each as friends. I still have my best friend from 5th grade and she just lost her dad and I was here for her as much as she needed me to be for her. I wish we lived closer to one another but I'm sure we will always stay friends no matter what. It feels like we are sister's.

My dad had 7 siblings at the time, and an 8 one on the way. After that my grandma got w some one else and got 2 more childrens. My step grandpa bated back cancer and died from it. My dad suffered a lot, cuz at the time his father died, he was going to be 12
