Missy did a great job shooting video! Her narration was Spot On! That was pretty hairy, especially when the front of the wrecker started drifting over the edge. Now, getting that Orange Chevy out! Great job as always Eric. I look forward to the other 2 videos (the Winch Out of Mud, and Orange Chevy Pt. 2).
Omg! I was legit nervous when you had the boom cable on the tree and u started down the hill again.... love these videos and the tow truck. Also like to see all the cool stuff u recover. Awesome!
Just started watching the other day! Pretty impressive what you do! Big into wheeling in northern Canada! Dont have any of my wheeling videos on yet but I will add some in the future! Keep up the good work!
I really wish I could have seen you on the trail, maybe next year. I had a lot of fun. I got a huge scratch down the cab of my truck and my drivers cv axle is leaking diff fluid! My brakes were also packed with mud causing an in safe situation. great recovery skills as always!
Great job all of you. Except for the winching. Don't you have a tree strap and a snatch block? Not only to protect the tree but mostly to protect the winch cable.
The jeep could stand to be a bit heavier for some of the recoveries. I think that might have been able to winch the orange truck down the hill once it had cleared the crest using the boom to help keep the front tire's off the ground. Another thought that I had was that if the winch on the wrecker was big enough could have just winched both truck's up the hill. Got the job done that's all that matter's in the end.
Gateway Grip Spur Bucksjot Wide Mudder, bias ply has the most aggressive grip profile but I don’t know if the tires are available in the number of tread and sidewalk ply strength loads that the wrecker needs. Found them on eBay but they should be available at all Gateway tire dealerships. If they are available in the load range the wrecker needs you would not believe the difference in mud, sand and even rocky ground traction with the correct inflation for the terrain. It is one of the few tread designs that I have found best suited for mud whether slick on top and hard beneath just sit it up a bit so the center of the tread crowns outward to dig more aggressively then when on sand decrease the air pressure just a bit to provide more floatation. I have NOT seen a radial mud grip that offers anywhere near the traction over a broad range of terrains that this tire offers. I would caution not to go too wide as you want this tire to be able to dig some when needed. It is one of the few tires that will drag a 4WD even when it is bottomed out and can cut over tall rut ridges to dig you out and get back on top of higher ground. I should caution one weakness is the tendency of the tires at least the 4-6 ply tires that have a tall profile from rim to ground to have some sway to them and on rain covered asphalt a tendency to stand up more so on the center tread and slide during heavy, hard licked up wheel braking. But it’s my favorite tire for a 4wd hunting vehicle. As I have never lifted and hauled/towed a heavy load I am not sure how secure the bead locking on the rim is. But I would definitely say it’s worth researching them, possibly to buy as a special set of tires when your off roaring takes you to sandy snd muddy terrain. I used to swap my on during hunting season and off during the off hunting season unless I was going fishing and/or launching a heavy boat from a primitive dirt, sand or gravel and sand ramp. Though I have used mine on ice they kinda suck on ice but then so do all tires that do not have chains on them. Good luck, hope you can find a set where the load rating and ply requirements AND PRICE can fit your needs.
could you not leave the front winch hooked up and pay out as you went down the hill i would think it would have helped hold the wrecker from sliding sideways
It looks like a better option would have been to do a temporary wield on the orange trucks knuckle so he could back it down the hill and then hook the wrecker to it.
He is running 37 inch tires on 16.5 rims. They are military surplus Hummer tires. As best as I can tell, he changed them within the month. Just FYI in case you are interested.
With more and more people getting these Jeeps with wenches on them maybe you should do a do and don't with a winch I've seen people stand by the front of their Jeep with a winch I had to tell them to get in the vehicle so the strap had something to hit before them that kind of stuff needs to be addressed
the Humvee tires work well, he runs duals on the rear in case of a flat, if one gets punctured he can still drive it, and he stays away from aggressive tires because they would dig down in situations with soft loose sand/dirt leaving him in deep holes he may be unable to get out of with just a little help from the jeep
why did you all not use the wrecker to wench the ass of the truck over before he took it to the top would have been much less work and alot easier than trying to pull it with that jeep in sand
I cannot believe Abby is a teenager; this shows how long I have been watching this channel & need to get my own space & build my own off road wrecker.
that orange truck sounded well healthy ... great video ..
Wow. Eric is definitely a pro at this.
You sir , got big balls .... job well done .
96dodgeram Huge balls.
i wanna lick em
fuzzy wuzzy lol

By the way camera girl on the sandy hill..."GOD BLESS YOU"......now .....THAT WAS THE SWEETEST RECOVERY I HAVE EVER SEEN.....
My ass was puckered the whole time y'all were backing the Wrecker down the hill. Good job Eric
That’s my boy Gary! Been riding in that orange Chevy for 7 years at dresser with him!
damn!!! that orange chevy backing that wrecker down the hill with two front tires in the air was impressive nervewracking recovery as well
Really enjoyed watching the rebuilding of Wrecker II
that's some team work if i ever seen it great job and no one was yelling at anyone.
you guys are the best pro guys gmc all the way i drive a 1500 2002 love that truck gm all the way man
Pucker Factor- Off the charts! Great skill, team!
you did this the hard way. the only trouble is i didn't see a easy way. keep up the great work.
its awesome you do this and don't charge for it, but I'm sure you are well compensated by donations from happy truck owners you've saved.

Thanks! 👍
I have to say that was awesome good call on the winch to the tree with the Boom
Can't believe watching your videos and finally a persons truck I know Gary Blum go figure that truck k has a very healthy motor
Really enjoyed the camera work and narration!
thats one tricky recovery ,great job , i always stay tuned to each video
i puckerd up just watching. good job.
I really wish I could have seen you on the trail, maybe next year. I had a lot of fun. I got a huge scratch down the cab of my truck and my drivers cv axle is leaking diff fluid! My brakes were also packed with mud causing an in safe situation.
great recovery skills as always!
great job. very tricky. loved the idea of chaining to the boom to free the cable up for stability. have had to do that chain trick before
that was a helluva recovery! nice work!!
Damn Eric you are good at what you do! I also agree the filming was excellent! I like when Seat cover and that women take turns.
That dialogue from the camera woman almost sounds scripted and put over afterwards, it's awesome. Ps. Great technique on the recovery!
can you do a walk around on your truck? im curious to see how you have your in cab controls set up for the boom and winch.
do you have to register to go to that park or can you just show up and enter it?
Love the square body step sides, that one is nice
grandprismatic I love the square body so much to put $8000 into one and you couldn't tell the difference lol😂
grandprismatic i was just thinkin the same thing. im not really a chevy guy but that step side looked pretty sharp
Great job all of you.
Except for the winching.
Don't you have a tree strap and a snatch block? Not only to protect the tree but mostly to protect the winch cable.
Awesome job! That looked like it was fun.
That was an amazing job!! Great work, very impressive!!
that was insane! keep the videos coming. love them
I like your shows I like your truck too
you do a pretty good job helping those people

Unreal. That looked sketchy. Nicely done sir.

Hey BsF. Loving watching the new vids along with the old. Keep towing & stay safe.
hey Eric just a question why didn't you use the winch on the front of the Jeep to get the truck where you wanted it
The winch motor on the Jeep winch is burnt up.
ok
Does he do this as volunteer work or?
Good job, that definitely would have had my nerves on edge
This channel will blow up
hey guys what wrecker bed is that i love the compactness and short back end.
Nomar, from Iowa I think. No longer in business.
How sad its a good bed for this type of work
i just looked them up and turnes out they rebnamed to dual-tech and still off custom beds and pre fabs looks like i got planning to do
Whatever happened to the old Jeep I think it was yellow
Well done Team!
Awesome video
That was a very sketchy recovery.. well done sir well done!!!
hey VERY IMPORTANT!!! whats the name of your wrecker there has to be a nick name ised around the park
miss seatcover, you seem to have a better understanding of physics then the rest of your crew.
your shows pretty good
Front lockers, is that new on the wrecker? I thought she was only locked in the back and open in front.
No, still open.
I asked because it looked like you where spinning both fronts in that sand.
An open diff. will spin both tires (divide the power equal) if both have the same amount of traction at the time.
Great recovery!
Are yall from up north
Wish I could have been there. I'd gladly volunteer my truck to of assisted in the recovery. If nothing else another anchor point anyway.
made my palms sweaty
Blake Smith right.
Damn, nicely done
That's not triple A. It is more like triple E. Eric's Emergency Extractions. LOL
Hey, I might have to use that...LOL
I figured you would like it.
seat cover has came along way in her filming skills :D
Glad you made it down safe!
wrecker needed some sand paddles that day.
the man with the hat looks like turtle man that says "live action" from call of the wildman
It looks like a better option would have been to do a temporary wield on the orange trucks knuckle so he could back it down the hill and then hook the wrecker to it.
knuckle is cast iron, no trail weld would hold even long enough to just back down
that was badass
The truck on hook can still use 2 wheel drive
nice recovery
Needed the ol' suburban there. Would have handled that better than the light Jeep.
Nice Chevy
Hope you got a good tip off him.
would help if the wrecker had better TIRES
He is running 37 inch tires on 16.5 rims. They are military surplus Hummer tires. As best as I can tell, he changed them within the month. Just FYI in case you are interested.
K9 he needs more agreesive tires..put some nitto mud grapplers on there
Should have used your rear winch and lowered him down then front winch to lower yourself down if necessary..!?
With more and more people getting these Jeeps with wenches on them maybe you should do a do and don't with a winch I've seen people stand by the front of their Jeep with a winch I had to tell them to get in the vehicle so the strap had something to hit before them that kind of stuff needs to be addressed
The starter got a little work out on this tow lol. The price to pay with a built engine and/or the steep of an angle on carbureted
Why not just take the wheel off the broken truck and drag it down the hill with the boom line? Then hook it up at the bottom
I've been watching your videos for a while now looks like you're going to need to upgrade to Super singles mud Swampers you have better traction
the Humvee tires work well, he runs duals on the rear in case of a flat, if one gets punctured he can still drive it, and he stays away from aggressive tires because they would dig down in situations with soft loose sand/dirt leaving him in deep holes he may be unable to get out of with just a little help from the jeep
That made my bitthole pucker a little.
Need to bolt a shovel rack on the wrecker👍🏻
Missy should narrate a LOT more. SC's gravelly voice screaming at 100db gets really old really fast, especially when you listen on headphones.
That was my son Alex's wife Jessica.
My apologies for not getting her name right. I went off another reply to the video as to what her name was.
Abit of a pucker factor there.
C'mon seat cover have a little faith. lol
use the winch in the jeep
👍👍
Twin lined it with a snatch block to control winching down hill would have been easier and safer. That's why recovery with a single line is nonsense
why did you all not use the wrecker to wench the ass of the truck over before he took it to the top would have been much less work and alot easier than trying to pull it with that jeep in sand
Should have just drug the truck down backwards from the beginning.....
Using a wrecker on a hill is not a good idea....But it worked,
awesome video and first lol
Put some tires on that
made me pucker
Every video, more and more ads. That's why I unsub'd from 4 channels this month already.
Wow lmao
