to be fair new players most likely havent unlocked inazuma archon storyline so they dont know much about thoma's personality (his playstyle and scaling may be lacking compared to other chars but he's top tier personality for me) i just hope they dont hate on someone and their chars simply bc they're not "meta". i'm fine with meta players, just as long as they respect other playstyles and dont force ppl to play like them

Dude I feel this, my first co op experience was at ar 20 and with someone who told me not to use him because he is one of the worst chatacters. Now I'm ar 55 and a Thoma main who is a really good tank, C3, crowned and level 90
I once had to solo Childe with Thoma because the Xiao, Hu Tao and Zhongli all died during a co-op game. I felt so powerful and happy that day with my best boi Thoma

Preferring to use meta characters over "low tier" characters is fine if it makes you enjoy the game more, but it doesn't give you the right to straight up start being rude to other players for using characters you dislike. Then again, at least that first player was self aware by naming themself "Baka", cause they really are. :p
I've triple crowned my Thoma, and have three separate builds for him: shielder, pyro DPS, and physical DPS. I adore using him with all of them. My shielder Thoma (with Favonious Lance mind you, not Staff of Homa) can stand right next to Azhdaha during phase change and tank everything like a mf champion without taking a single point of damage. Plus, my Pyro DPS Thoma hasn't hit less than 144k vape with his E in ages. He's by no means a perfect unit, but calling him bad and being rude to other people who enjoy him when you've barely put any effort into building him, investing, and forming a proper team for him is uncalled for.

i'm a Thoma main, i feel highly insulted by Baka right now. Thoma is an amazing support, and even at c0 he can still reach a great amount of dmg ( i reached 21k with his skill, and he's c0 ). Every characters are amazing if built well

what skill did you crown? I didn't know he is actually a viable dps. I saw first reviews and he was doing like 10000-20000 at best with q and his was like periodical 500 dmg or smth.
@@dronred8817 I crowned his burst but still planning to crown his normals and e skill. He improved a lot after getting a few cons. My e skill was pushed up to level 11 now
As a Keqing main I get this treatment alot. It's not that I don't have super OP dps characters but I just love Keqing play style + she's quick and she gets the Job done. I hate when ppl put some characters at the bottom just because of the dmg they do doesn't mean you can't enjoy their play styles. And insulting the characters and who plays them is just bruh.

I recently learned that Thoma with Cons is much better and reliable as a shielder and has already started building him for fun Thoma/Heizou combo. Honestly he has very good minimalistic design with cool ass animations.

You might say that "if you built your hu tao like this then it would be too much better." and yeah that is true BUT he still does ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE dmg and i am so proud of him i love him i am so happy that i wasted every single resin for him and not any other characters.
