Thank you!!!! You just saved me $300.00 bucks, I was quoted $550.00 for the pump + installation, I will just get the pump and will do it myself. Thank you again!!!
Best video by far on changing out new AO Smith motor. Just 1 question..I have the green geound wire but 2 purple wires also. Does it matter which way they plug into back of motor ? I heard if wires are same color it does not matter ?
I’m working on the pump 220 and has too hot wires and one ground wall two ground the one with the green screw and the other one is white but all three white and black and red has power what can I do to verify if right wire What’s can I do ?
Why do you keep calling the impeller a turbine fan????? Why didn't you change both halves of the shaft seal???? Why did you call the wires positive and negative???? I'll be very honest with you, If I were you, I would go back through that whole video and do a lot of editing before you get someone killed. Some pump motors are wired with 220, some are wired with 110 and you made no effort at all to explain the difference. Sta-Rite by the way is pump manufacturer that was bought by Pentair over a decade ago, and Century just makes the electrical portion... the motor.

Thank you for the information! I purchased the same motor and I find it odd how the bottom of the rear is exposed?
That was great! Thanks!

If you're unsure, I would definitely have an electrician verify your wiring. It's better to be safe than sorry when it comes to electricity.
You didn't explain which wire went to what connection.
He took a picture and suggested we do the same.
Omg does anyone have video with proper wire set up.
Thanks
Great video... until it got to the wiring connection.... then it became the worst

C’mon man, he did alright for a homeowner.
But of course, if you want it done right….call a pro.
